Bred in Australia and spent first part of racing career there. Outstanding race horse. Won Champagne Stakes at 2. Won Australia's most valuable mile race, the Epsom Handicap, at 3. Won WS Cox Plate and CB Fisher Plate. Australian Horse of the Year. Sold to American Gene Geoff in July 1960. As a sire in the US, he became leading juvenile sire by number of winners. Sired several very important AQHA sires, including Shirley's Champion, The Signature, Pass Em Up.
