MMP Tag Team Championship Match
UPSTANDING
CITIZENS (C) vs. HYOGA & THE MYSTERY PARTNER
The champions were introduced first, accompanied by Ponch and Michael.
As Virus headed down to ringside, Joker stopped to taunt an obese fan sitting along the runway.
While his attention was diverted, a man in a clown mask hopped over the safety rail on the other
side and nailed Joker with a clothesline from behind. Tossing the mask away, Hyoga was
revealed as the attacker. Rolling Joker back into the ring, Hyoga looked to be handling things
early on as his mystery partner made his way out, wearing an emerald green cloak to disguise his
features. The partner stepped up onto the apron as Hyoga followed Joker in, but when he did
so he was met with a thumb to the face by the former midwestern champion, who nailed a DDT
before dragging him towards his corner and tagging in Virus. As he stepped through the ropes,
Virus pointed up to the giant video screen where a tape of Hyoga's match against Mr. Beumont
from the Chaos on the Coast PPV began to play. With the "Beat the Sh*t out of Hyoga
Festival" playing in the background, Virus jumped out to the floor and wishboned Hyoga around
the ring post, pulling his legs back and jamming the post into Hyoga's groin area. With things
under control, Joker went over to his opponents' corner and tried to draw the partner into the
ring, but the partner stood solemnly beside the buckle with the tag rope in hand. While Virus
taunted the fans about ringside, Hyoga slowly pulled himself together and nailed Joker with an
avalanche while the leader of The Family was trying to lure the partner into the ring. Hyoga then
went to work on Joker, hitting a backbreaker before dropping the leg across Joker's throat.
Pulling Joker up, Hyoga nailed a German suplex, holding it in a bridge for a two count before
Virus interrupted the count with a kick to the top of the head. With things looking shaky for the
champions, Ponch jumped up on the ring apron and started harassing the partner while Virus
pulled Joker to the corner to make the tag. As Virus came in, Hyoga also made a tag to his
mystery partner, who came in via the top rope, nailing Virus with a flying headbutt. Virus went
down and the partner removed his hood, revealing the mystery partner as Captain Patrick
O'Conner!! The crowd errupted at the sight of the leader of The Untouchables in the ring.
O'Conner nailed Virus with a scoop slam before going to the top rope. The Captain came off
with a flying legdrop, but Michael reached into the ring and pulled Virus out of the way, causing
O'Conner to land tailbone-first on the canvas. The two men in the ring pulled themselves
together and began brawling in the middle of the ring when suddenly, from the crowd, came The
Ryno! Brandishing a baseball bat, Ryno pulled Joker off the ring apron, shouting "I am not a
washup!!" at him before winding up for a shot with the bat. As Ryno reared back, Ponch
grabbed the bat and slapped Ryno on the backside, causing the former world champion to turn
around and nail Ponch with the bat before delivering the Ryno Charge through the timekeeper's
table! The crowd burst into cheers once again at Ryno's actions as Virus and O'Conner spilled
out to the floor. In the ring Hyoga charged at Joker, who was back on the apron, but Joker
spun around and caught Hyoga with a right hand that dropped Hyoga like a ton of bricks.
Apparently slipping something back into his trunks, Joker quickly jumped into the ring and
grabbed the referee's attention before applying the Last Laugh on Hyoga. The ref asked if
Hyoga wanted to surrender, and when he got no answer, he called for the bell. Virus and Joker
had retained the titles, but Virus seemed oblivious as he and the Captain battled all the way back
to the dressing room.
Wood: The Upstanding Citizens have succesfully defended the tag team
titles, but I don't think anyone in this building expected to see O'Conner come out here as
Hyoga's mystery partner. It was nice to see Virus and Joker putting the belts on the line against
a top ranked opponent for a change instead of sticking to unproven opposition as they have
done in the past.
Brewer: I have to agree with you there, Wood. I thought Virus was going to dump in his shorts
when he saw O'Conner pull that hood off. Those two men were rumored to be meeting for the
world title here tonight, but it looks like that showdown will have to wait until wednesday night
and the dangerous game match.
Wood: Our third and final title match is coming up next. A few weeks ago Steve Simon was
dealt his first and only loss in singles competition here in the MMP. The man that beat him was
Psychotic Sam. Tonight those two men do battle once again with Simon looking to avenge that
defeat while Sam looks to capture the television championship. Let's go back to the
ring.
MMP Television Championship Match
"STUNNING" STEVE
SIMON vs. PSYCHOTIC SAM
SSS made his way out first with Kristin, wearing the TV title belt around his
waist and a look of supreme confidence on his face. That confidence, however, wouldn't last
long. When Sam's music started to play, the challenger and Mike made their way down to
ringside, circling around to the opposite side as CWO members Mr. Beumont, Brick Stevens,
and China Town Lee then started coming towards the ring. Coming through the crowd from
one side was The Joker's Child and Ponch and from the other side it was Welfare William and
Hobo Richard. Within moments, Family members had surrounded every side of the ring. When
Joker gave the signal, all nine men rushed Simon, surrounding him and allowing Joker to nail him
with a steel chair shot across the back. Simon went down hard and Sam applied the Psycho's
Punishment while the other eight men took cheap shots on Simon. The ref called for the bell
right away and gave the decision to Simon by DQ, but that didn't stop The Family. With Simon
in nearly unconscious in Sam's hold, Joker pulled an electric razor and shaved off a portion of
SSS' hair, the same as he had done to Kristin several weeks ago. Having secured his trophy,
Joker called Sam off and The Family made their way back to the dressing room, leaving Kristin
to help her man.
Wood: Steve Simon retains the TV title here under controversial
circumstances, but I wouldn't want to be around when Simon comes around and realizes that
Joker did to him here tonight.
Brewer: Joker's Child is really going overboard with this bizarre fascination he has with other
people's hair. Some day soon Joker is going to have to answer for his actions, and after months
of facing nobody but the CWO, I don't know how he'll react when he has to go one on one with
a legitimate wrestler. I think it'll be a real shock to the system for the clown.
Wood: Well, folks, it's time for our main event. Two men we've already seen tonight will be in
action up next. For the first time ever, The Ryno meets Daark one on one. There are no titles
on the line here, but the bragging rights that come from beating either of these men can certainly
do a lot for a man's reputation. Let's go back to the ring for our main event.
THE RYNO vs. DAARK
Daark came to the ring first, accompanied by his usual hooded Cult minions.
As the minions took up their position around the ring, The Ryno came running down to the ring
even before his music and entrance video started to play. Sliding quickly into the ring, Ryno
nailed Daark with a spear that rocked the Cult member back against the turnbuckle. A flurry of
punches and kicks from the "Hardcore Sonuvabitch" put Daark to the mat, drawing a rousing
ovation from the crowd as more minions started coming down to the ring. As the odds started
building up against Ryno, DNL, Zane, Charles, and The Upstarts all came running down from
the back and tore into the group of Cult followers around the ring, causing the erruption of a
massive brawl on the outside of the ring. On the inside, Ryno nailed Daark with a flying lariat off
the ropes, but when he pulled his opponent back to his feet, Daark met him with a rake of the
face, blinding Ryno temporarily, just long enough to swing the momentum of the match. Nailing
Ryno with a series of thrusts to the throat, Daark slowed the big man down, forcing him to draw
deeper for each breath. After taking Ryno down with a spinning heel kick off the ropes, Daark
then used the middle rope as a springboard, hitting Ryno with a double kneedrop to the chest
that knocked the wind out of the native of Toledo, Ohio. Climbing to the top rope, Daark
waited for Ryno to get back to his feet before diving off and driving Ryno face first into the
canvas with a flying bulldog. Daark, realizing the importance of the match, stayed on Ryno,
delivering a series of kicks to the body and hitting a DDT before going to the top rope once
again. This time, Daark came off with a flying splash, covering Ryno for a two count before the
big man could get his shoulder up off the canvas. Keeping the pace up-tempo, Daark went to
the top rope once again, but it proved to be a case of going to the well once too often. As
Daark came off with a diving headbutt, Ryno moved out of the way, causing the Cult member to
land face first on the canvas. On the outside the battle continued, with more Cult minions
coming down to help out the cause. Seeing what was going on on the floor, Ryno pulled Daark
up off the canvas and lifted him up in a gorilla press slam, dropping him over the top rope and
onto the battle that raged around ringside. Just as Daark was getting back to his feet, Ryno
bounced off the far ropes and dove over the top with a suicide dive, slamming Daark back
against the safety rail. He then rammed Daark head first into the steel ring steps before rolling
him back into the ring. With the crowd on it's feet, Ryno slowly pulled Daark up and nailed the
Ryno Charge before covering him for the three count. The ref raised Ryno's hand in victory,
something that had been a long time coming for the former world champion. Grabbing a seat on
the top turnbuckle to watch the fight on the floor, Ryno cheered on his associates, but never saw
a man coming in from the crowd. The man was wearing a Bootlegger mask, similar to the one
Ryno had worn to the Syndicate/Untouchables match a few weeks ago. Sliding into the ring
under the bottom rope behind Ryno, the man jammed a taser gun into Ryno's ribcage, spilling
him over the top rope to the floor where the Cult minions, DNL, and The Upstarts were battling
it out. The man tossed the mask aside revealing The Bootlegger himself as the perpetrator as the
camera fades to black.
