Live from Seattle, WA, MMP WrestleFest is on the air!! The Kingdome is
sold out for the first day of the MMP anniversary show!! Commentators Jerry Wood and Ray
Brewer are at ringside.
Wood: Welcome, everyone, to MMP WrestleFest featuring the Parade of
Champions!! I'm Jerry Wood alongside Ray Brewer where tonight here in Seattle we will see
the first two rumbles in the Survivor's Cup Challenge, as well as the first round matches in all six
of the championship gauntlets. We open things up right away tonight with the newcomers battle
royal. Five guys are entered, but we understand that there has been a last-minute addition to the
match. No names have been released yet, so let's go to the ring to find out who the mystery
man is.
NEWCOMERS BATTLE ROYAL
The announced participants made their way down to the ring. Karkas Nekki
and Sarden Sandies came out together representing UK Inc., followed by Izz Amazing, Masked
Man X, and "The Punisher" Cole Payne. Right from the opening bell, Nekki and Sandies
double teamed Payne, using their combined efforts to keep the man formerly known as "?" on
the mat in the early going. In the other corner, Masked Man X was hammering away on Izz
Amazing, who was apparently still feeling the effects of the attack by Cole Payne on the last
SNS. While this was going on, Mr. Marvellous and Big Daddy Cash made their way down to
the ring with Marvellous carrying his Greatest Man Alive belt. Surprising everyone in
attendance, Cash jumped in the ring and nailed Sandies from behind with a thunderous
clothesline from behind! With one of his attackers gone, Payne was able to make a comeback
on Nekki and quickly threw the UK Inc. head of security over the top rope to the floor. In the
meantime, Big Daddy Cash had eliminated Sandies, and the match was already down to it's final
four. Seeing Payne winded in the corner, Masked Man X diverted his attention from Izz
Amazing and went after "The Punisher" while Cash moved in and took MMX's spot against
Amazing. After hammering Amazing with a series of punches to the head, Cash gave Amazing a
thumb shot to the throat before ducking through the ropes to the floor to confer with his brother
Mr. Marvellous. With Payne and MMX battling in the corner, Amazing saw his opportunity and
jumped both men from behind with a flurry of forearm shots. Amazing was, however, still
winded from the earlier attacks, and the blows didn't have much of an effect. Payne broke away
from MMX and grabbed Amazing by the throat and tossed him over the top rope to the floor.
With the match nearing it's conclusion, Big Daddy Cash grabbed the Greatest Man Alive belt
and rushed the ring. He charged MMX with the belt, but the masked man saw him coming and
lowered his shoulder, backdropping Cash over the top to the floor. The distraction, however,
opened the door for Cole Payne. Payne grabbed MMX and delivered a big powerslam before
running the ropes and going for a legdrop. MMX moved out of the way, and Payne landed
square on his hip. Mighty Midget jumped up to the apron and shouted at Payne, who was
struggling to his feet. MMX waited for his opponent to get to his feet and delivered a running
clothesline that sent Payne back towards the ropes. Mighty Midget pulled the top rope down
and Payne tumbled over the strand to the floor, giving Masked Man X the victory.
Wood: Masked Man X has won the newcomers battle royal! These
matches usually prove to be stepping stones to stardom here in the MMP. Clay Moore won the
match back in February and went on to compile one of the best win-loss records in MMP
history. Scott Worth, then known as Switch-Blade won it last month at Homicidal Tendencies
and remains undefeated in the MMP. Will Masked Man X be the next man to reach these
heights on the heels of the newcomers battle royal? Only time will tell.
Brewer: The true test for Masked Man X will come tomorrow night in Salt Lake City when he
participates in the Survivor's Cup Challenge in rumble #4. There is a lot of talent in that ring.
We'll see how MMX does against some of the more experienced talent in the MMP.
Wood: It's time to get the championship gauntlets underway here in Seattle. The first title match
will be for the MMP television championship as Wang Chen, fresh off an impressive victory over
Harbinger just over a week ago, tries to go through three top challengers over the next three
days. His first challenge will come from The Saint. Let's go to the ring!
MMP Television Championship Match
"THE CONMAN"
WANG CHEN (C) vs. THE SAINT
Chen and his tag team partner, "Wildcard" Sean Williams (the former
Ghettoman) were waiting in the ring when Amazing Grace played over the loudspeaker. The
music soon shut off and "Stayin' Alive" came on in it's place. The Saint came out in typical
1970s dress with a jacket that said "Disco Pete" on the back. Coming out closely behind with a
group of fat, trashy women was former MMP-Canada and NWF wrestler Hip Hoppin' Ron.
Can Crusher and Garlen rode their motorcycles down behind the group, laughing at the people
in front of them. Disco Pete was carrying Marbels the Cat as he got in the ring and started
dancing in front of Chen and Williams. The referee grabbed Marbels away from Pete and he
and Chen locked up in the middle of the ring. Chen wasted no time going to his opponent's
eyes, jabbing his thumb into Pete's face before slapping on an armwringer. Pete grabbed his
shoulder in pain and tried to wrestle his way free, but Chen just tightened his grip. He nailed
Pete with a kick to the gut followed by a stiff clothesline that put Pete down. Not wanting to let
his opponent recover, Chen pulled Pete up off the canvas and put on another armwringer, but
this time Pete was able to reverse the hold into an armwringer of his own. Pete then nailed Chen
with a clothesline of his own and started dancing for the crowd while Chen pulled himself back
up. As if Pete had sent a signal, Hip Hoppin' Ron went over to Williams and taunted him with
the trashy women. Williams laughed him off, but was suddenly attacked from behind by Can
Crusher and Garlen. In the ring, Pete nailed Chen with a powerbomb followed by a short
legdrop, but instead of going for the cover, Pete went over and shouted instructions at Crusher,
Garlen, and Ron, who were triple teaming Williams on the outside. A group of referees
eventually came down to stop the assault, but Williams needed help in getting back to the locker
room. Back in the ring, Pete looked to be in control of Chen and possibly ready to capture the
TV belt. Pete shouted at Garlen before whipping Chen towards the ropes. A few moments
later, Garlen spun quickly around and swung Marbels at the ring, but what he didn't see was that
Chen had reversed the whip and Marbels caught Disco Pete right in the back! Pete stumbled
forward and was caught by Chen in a powerslam. "The Conman" then went right to the top
rope and came off with a big flying legdrop! Hooking the leg, Chen covered Pete and got the
three count to move on in the gauntlet.
Wood: What in the hell is going on with The Saint? Last time we saw him
he was back to wrestling as his old Havoc character, now tonight he's calling himself Disco
Pete? This is ridiculous. Why is he doing this?
Brewer: I think ol' Pete is finally feeling the effects of spending so much time on the funny farm
with Psychotic Sam and the boys. He spent the last six months of his life around a group of guys
whose collective IQ does not belong to the set of positive integers. It's just taken a little longer
to come through on Saint, but it's coming through nonetheless.
Wood: This is just so bizarre. I wonder how many other personas Saint could have saved up.
Will we see one later on tonight when he comes back out to participate in the Survivor's Cup? I
guess we'll have to wait and see. On with the gauntlets we go! The tag team championship is up
next.
MMP Tag Team Championship Match
NO REMORSE (C) vs.
HARBINGER & THE DESTROYER
The challengers and former champions were introduced first, followed by a
large swarm of the Cult Master's followers who were all dressed in identical Cult worship garb.
No Remorse then came out, and wasted little time in getting in the ring to get the match
underway. Harbinger jumped right on Whiplash, biting his opponent right across the bridge of
the nose and raking rabidly at Whiplash's face. The referee pulled Harbinger down, but the
smaller member of the challenging team would not be denied that easily. He wrestled Whiplash
back into the corner and opened up with a series of stiff knife-edge chops before tagging in the
massive Destroyer. Destroyer was slow and deliberate in his attack, nailing Whiplash with a pair
of hard forearm smashes to the back of the head followed by a big running clothesline that nearly
knocked Whiplash out of the ring. Destroyer then tagged his partner back in and Harbinger
made his entry by way of the top rope. Harbinger connected with a flying dropkick and it
appeared as though the Cult was on it's way to recapturing the tag team titles. Waiting for
Whiplash to get back to his feet, Harbinger charged in with a spear tackle, but Whiplash moved
out of the way and Harbinger struck the turnbuckle shoulder first. Harbinger staggered back out
and was met with a hard superkick from Whiplash who then was quick to get to his corner and
tag Blitzkrieg. Blitz stomped away on his fallen opponent before pulling him up and nailing a big
back suplex. The former world and midwestern champion went for the cover, but Harbinger
kicked out at two. This didn't phase Blitz, who stayed on the attack, nailing Harbinger with a
powerslam before applying a reverse chinlock to further wear his opponent down. When it
looked like Harbinger was about to break the hold, Blitz threw him down face first onto the
canvas and started stomping away on his opponent. Harbinger lay limp on the canvas, not giving
any signs of movement and Blitz went in for the win. Dragging Harbinger back towards his
corner, Blitz picked him up in a powerbomb, but Harbinger startled the crowd and turned the
move into a face buster! Both men were down and the referee started his ten count. Blitz got to
his corner and tagged in Whiplash, but only seconds later, Harbinger was also able to make the
tag and bring the reigning extreme champion Destroyer back into the match. Blitz came back in
quickly, assisting Whiplash in double teaming their much larger opponent. The two champions
combined their efforts to nail Destroyer with a double suplex before stomping away on the big
man. No Remorse appeared to be on their way to retaining the titles when Harbinger came
flying off the top rope, nailing Whiplash with The Omen!!! Blitz attacked Harbinger, but the
rabid man jumped up on Blitz's back and started biting him on the forehead. The two men soon
spilled to the outside while Destroyer got back to his feet in the ring. Whiplash was down and
out. Just for good measure, Destroyer nailed a crushing elbowdrop to the larynx before
covering Whiplash for the three count to bring the tag titles back to The Cult.
Wood: Ladies and gentlemen, we have our first new champions here at
WrestleFest, as Harbinger and The Destroyer have regained the tag team championship from
No Remorse. They will move on to face West Law and Damien Jentz tomorrow night in Salt
Lake City in defense of their titles.
Brewer: Law and Jentz have to like their chances in that match tomorrow. Not only have
Harbinger and Destroyer already fought once on this three-day event, they will both be involved
in other matches here tonight. Harbinger will be involved in rumble #2 of the Survivor's Cup
Challenge later on tonight, while Destroyer will have to put the extreme title on the line against
Christian Antimarius. How much can these guys take?
Wood: Well, from what I have just been told, the road to glory for Harbinger and Destroyer has
just been made a little easier. It appears that, due to a contract dispute, members of The
Congregation will not be appearing on The Parade of Champions. Rumors have been going
around about whether or not they will appear, and the folks in the back have informed me that
Masochrist, Super Cupid, and Ouija Lullabye all failed to pick up their information packages
detailing hotel and car reservations, as well as backstage access passes to all three events. As
we get ready for the first of the four Survivor's Cup rumbles, I must also pass along this piece of
information regarding the upcoming match. It appears that West Law and Damien Jentz, both
scheduled to be involved in the match, are refusing to participate on the grounds of mistreatment
by upper management here in the MMP. This brings the number of men in this match from
thirteen down to ten, and has to favor all the men still involved in the match. A spot in the final
on June 1 in St. Louis is on the line. Let's go to the ring!
SURVIVOR'S CUP CHALLENGE - RUMBLE
#1
The first two participants were introduced - Sarden Sandies from UK Inc.
and the mysterious Mute. The two battled back and forth in the early going, trading punches
back and forth for a few moments before Mute got the advantage with a drop toehold. After
dropping a pair of elbows on his opponent's knee, Mute applied a leglock that had Sandies on
the mat screaming in pain. While Sandies struggled towards the ropes, the buzzer sounded and
the next participant was on his way down. It was Syndicate member "Corrupt" John Korso.
Korso got in the ring, but was less than anxious to get involved in the action. He stood back in a
corner and watched as Mute continued to work on Sandies' legs. When Sandies reached the
ropes, the referee forced Mute to break the hold. As Mute got back to his feet, Korso charged
in and nailed him with a big running clothesline. Korso then started stomping away on the
injured Sarden Sandies before pulling him back to his feet and throwing him over the top rope as
the buzzer sounded once again. Beeficus Maximus ran quickly down to ringside and quickly
teamed up with Mute in assaulting Korso. Realizing that Korso was a definite threat to win the
match, Beef and Mute focused their efforts on taking him apart rather than on going after one
another. Beeficus nailed Korso with a big powerslam, and before Korso could catch his breath
he was the victim of a running legdrop from Mute. The buzzer sounded and another participant
was about to make his way out. Korso looked back hoping for some help, but instead it was
Wolverine who made his way to the ring. Wolverine joined in the assault on Korso, and before
long the three men had managed to get the Syndicate member and world title challenger up and
over the top rope to the floor. Once Korso's feet hit the groung, Beeficus turned around and
nailed Wolverine in the head with a big right hand that rocked the former Michigan Outlaw back
into the corner. Beeficus pouned away until Mute clobbered him with a forearm to the back that
gave Wolverine a chance to catch his breath. MMP rookie Fred J. Dirt was the next man to
come down. As he slid under the bottom rope, he was quickly met with a series of stomps to
the back from Wolverine. Wolverine pulled Dirt up to his feet as Beeficus nailed the Beef Bomb
on Mute. Wolverine grabbed the inexperienced Fred J. Dirt and tossed him over the top rope
as another participant, Dr. No Limit, made his entrance. Once DNL hit the ring, he and
Wolverine immediately attacked Beeficus Maximus, knocking Beef down and double teaming
him with a series of double elbowdrops. Mute soon joined in on the attack, and it was three
men against Beeficus Maximus. Beef didn't last very long against three men, and soon found
himself being thrown over the top rope. The buzzer sounded again, but nobody came through
the curtain. DNL, Wolverine, and Mute looked at one another waiting for their opponent, but
nobody came. Suddenly, The Regulator appeared from the crowd behind the three men.
Grabbing Mute from behind, Regulator tossed him over the top rope before any of the three
could react to what was going on. He nailed Wolverine in the gut with Loui Slugger and then
cracked DNL over the head, sending the former extreme champion back over the top rope to
the floor. Regulator then tossed Loui aside and started to work on Wolverine, stomping him in
the corner. Wolverine reached up and jabbed Regulator in the eye before using the ropes to pull
himself back to his feet. The two traded blows out to the middle of the ring as the buzzer
sounded and Psychotic Sam came running down the aisle. Sam jumped right on Regulator's
back, putting the Syndicate member in a sleeperhold. Wolverine came up on Sam from behind,
climbing to the second rope and nailing him with a double axhandle shot to the back of the head
that broke the hold. While Wolverine stomped away on Sam, Regulator bounced off the ropes
and caught him with the Edge bulldog! The buzzer went one more time and the final entrant, The
Saint, made his way to the ring. Once Saint hit the ring, Sam was all over him, hitting Saint with
a low blow and then biting Saint right on the face. Saint delivered a couple of hard right hands
to Sam to try and fight him off, but Sam would not let go. Seeing his opportunity, The Regulator
came up on the two men battling near the ropes, grabbed one leg on each of them, and dumped
them both over the top to the floor. Regulator mockingly waved goodbye to Sam, leaving his
back turned to the one remaining opponent. Wolverine charged with a clothesline, but Regulator
saw him coming at the last minute, lowered his shoulder, and sent Wolverine over his head with
a backdrop to the floor. The Regulator won the first rumble, and advanced to the Four Corners
of Death Match set for June 1 in St. Louis.
Wood: The Regulator is the first man to qualify for the big Four Corners of
Death Match coming up in only two days, and has to be considered one of the favorites at this
point to come out of St. Louis with the Survivor's Cup. I know you'll agree with that,
Ray.
Brewer: Absolutely, Wood. You know that Onyx Cooper has always been one of my favorites.
He represents that traditionalist style of wrestling that seems to be coming less and less common
as the months go by. There are going to be three other top MMP stars in that final match, but at
this point I'm going to go out on a limb and predict that The Regulator will be your
winner.
Wood: Well, before we get that far, The Regulator is going to have to get through a series of
tough singles matches. He will defend the world title against John Korso later tonight, and will
challenge for the extreme title tomorrow night. If he gets past Korso here and captures the
extreme title tomorrow night, Regulator could have as many as four more matches to get through
before he makes it to that final contest. Speaking of the extreme title, it's on the line in our next
match. Earlier tonight, The Destroyer and his partner Harbinger captured the tag team titles
from No Remorse. Now Destroyer heads into singles competition against Christian Antimarius
in a No-Disqualification Match with the extreme title on the line. Let's go to the ring!
MMP Extreme Championship
No Disqualification
Match
THE DESTROYER (C) vs. CHRISTIAN ANTIMARIUS
Antimarius came out first, carrying his customary barbed wire cross. The
Destroyer was joined for this big match by Harbinger, and both men were proudly carrying the
MMP tag team championship belts. When Destroyer stepped through the ropes, Antimarius
charged right at him, but Destroyer was ready, catching Antimarius with a big running clothesline.
Antimarius went down hard. The effects of the tag team match seemed to have completely worn
off and Destroyer seemed to be at 100%. After hitting Antimarius with an atomic drop and a
backbreaker, Destroyer threw Antimarius unceremoniously over the top rope to the floor.
Destroyer followed him out, but Antimarius caught him with a rake of the face when the
champion reached the floor. With Destroyer slowed, Antimarius grabbed his barbed wire cross
and set it on the floor. He then shocked the crowd by giving Destroyer an inverted DDT that
rocked the champion's skull back against the wooden ornament! Blood was pouring steadily
from Destroyer's head as Antimarius picked up the offense. Showing an incredible display of
strength, Antimarius managed to suplex the big man, slamming Destroyer's lower legs against the
steel ring steps on the way down. The challenger then threw Destroyer back into the ring before
climbing to the top rope. Antimarius went for a legdrop off the top, but the wounded extreme
champion had enough energy in reserve to roll out of harm's way. Antimarius hit the canvas hard
as Destroyer began to pull himself back up. Antimarius was up almost as quickly, but he was
quickly met with a boot to the midsection. With the challenger doubled over, Destroyer
grabbed Antimarius and set him up for a powerbomb. Once he had Antimarius up in the air,
Destroyer turned and dropped Antimarius over the top, sending him through the spanish
announce table!! The crowd roared as Antimarius hit the floor and started rolling slowly back
towards the ring. Destroyer didn't want to wait for his opponent to get back in on his own and
quickly jumped down to the floor to grab Antimarius, who was now lying face down just outside
the ring. He pulled the challenger up, but when Antimarius turned him around, he nailed
Destroyer over the head with a grey unmarked bag that knocked Destroyer back against the
side of the ring. Antimarius opened the bag and threw it's contents all over the canvas,
spreading hundreds of thumbtacks across the ring. Destroyer rolled back in the ring and stood
solemnly bent over in a corner. Antimarius grabbed him and spun him around, but this time
Destroyer had a surprise. When Destroyer faced his opponent, he nailed Antimarius over the
head with Antimarius' own barbed wire cross! Antimarius hit the mat hard and Destroyer
immediately slapped on the Will Breaker. The barely conscious Antimarius had no choice but to
tap out, giving the win to Destroyer, who would move on to meet The Regulator tomorrow
night.
Wood: What a brutal encounter! The Destroyer has retained the extreme
championship, but at what cost? He still has two more extreme matches, a tag team match, a
Survivor's Cup rumble, and possibly a four-way cell match to go through in the next two days.
Can he possibly make it through all those matches? I can't imagine anyone who would be able
to survive that. This match took a lot out of him, Ray.
Brewer: That it did, Wood, but you've got to remember who you're talking about. The
Destroyer is well known for holding the UCW extreme championship for three years without
losing a hardcore match. If there's anyone in the MMP that could go through that many matches
in this short span of time, The Destroyer could be the man. His size could eventually work
against him, though. It takes a lot of energy to get a frame that size to go. It's a big test, but I'm
sure Destroyer will give it his all to see if he can do it.
Wood: Be that as it may, I don't like his chances. He's a tough guy, there's no doubt about that,
but I don't know if anyone could do what he's going to attempt. We've got another title match
set to go. It's the first match in the series for the midwestern championship. The Joker's Child,
probably the most hated man in the dressing room these days, takes on Death, a man who has
been on quite a roll as of late, including big wins over Aries and The Cult Master. Let's go to
the ring!
MMP Midwestern Championship Match
THE JOKER'S
CHILD (C) vs. DEATH
Death and Q were introduced first. The quickly improving youngster drew a
solid ovation from the crowd, the fans sensing that perhaps this would be the night that the hated
Joker's Child would finally lose the title. Joker came to the ring with Ponch and the hobos,
including Mr. Beumont, Welfare William, and Hobo Richard. Joker was smoking a cigar and
giving the fans the middle finger as he stepped between the ropes. Before the match, Joker
surprised everyone by ordering Beumont, Will, and Richard to leave the area, leaving only
Ponch on the outside. Not wanting to give Joker the chance to get off to a quick start, Death
charged into the corner and nailed Joker with an elbow to the head. Joker was stunned early
on, but while the ref admonished Death for not waiting for the bell, Joker grabbed his cigar off
the ring post and jabbed it right into Death's face. After a kick to the gut, Joker ran the ropes
and came back with a soccer-like kick right to his opponent's forehead while Death stood
doubled over. With Death on the mat, Joker went over to his opponent's corner and flashed the
middle finger right in Q's face. Death's manager jumped up on the apron and tried to get in the
ring, but the referee was able to restrain him. While the official's back was turned, Ponch
grabbed a steel chair and passed it in to Joker. Joker waited for Death to get back to his feet
before taking a swing, but as he did so, Death connected with a dropkick that sent the chair
back into Joker's face! The champion went down hard and Death was quick to kick the chair
to the outside. With the champion down, Death nailed a running kneedrop and then applied a
figure four leglock. Joker managed to work his way to the ropes and Death, not wanting to risk
disqualification, relinquished the hold, pushing Joker to the floor as he did so. Death stayed on
Joker, slamming him into the safety rail and the steel ring steps. The referee's count got to eight,
so Death was quick to throw Joker back in to avoid losing his title shot due to countout. Once
they were back in the ring, Death maintained the offense, choking Joker along the bottom rope.
As the match continued, Death seemed to be in total control of the match. The title looked to be
slipping away from Joker's Child, much to the delight of the fans. Suddenly, Mr. Beumont came
running down towards the ring from the crowd. He fell awkwardly over the safety rail, but when
he got back to his feet he nailed Q from behind with a frying pan! Joker was lying face down
with his throat still draped across the rope when Death turned his attention for a moment to the
attack on his manager. With Death and the official distracted, Ponch grabbed the bell away
from the timekeeper and passed it to Joker. Death turned back around and pulled Joker up, but
was met with a shot from the bell right to the skull! Joker tossed the bell away and made a limp
cover with one arm as the referee turned back around to count the 1...2...3!!
Wood: So under some highly controversial circumstances, The Joker's
Child will retain the midwestern title and go on to a much anticipated match against Mack
tomorrow night in Salt Lake City.
Brewer: Ya know, this is exactly the kind of thing that's wrong with the MMP today. Just
because some guy knows a bunch of deadbeats and losers, he goes into all these title matches
with a big advantage over his opponents. Beumont, Welfare, Hobo, and Ponch have about as
much place in this business as The Masked Lard has working at a nutrition counselling center. If
not for the bums, I believe Death would be the new champion as we speak.
Wood: That may well be, but unfortunately for Death and apparently for you, Ray, we'll never
know for sure. Earlier tonight, we saw The Regulator qualify for the four-way cell match coming
up on Tuesday night in St. Louis. It's now time to decide the second man to compete in that
huge match. It's the second of four Survivor's Cup rumbles that we will see over the next 24
hours. Let's go to the ring!
SURVIVOR'S CUP CHALLENGE - RUMBLE
#2
The first man introduced was someone who went into the match as one of
the obvious favorites to win the rumble, the 500-plus pound Masked Lard. His initial opponent
was the mysterious giant known as The Cremator. Cremator made his way slowly out as Irwin
Hinkle gave the Lard some last minute advice. As Cremator stepped through the ropes, the
Lard nailed him with a pair of forearms to the back. Cremator managed to force his way into
the ring, but once he got stood straight up, the Lard avalanched Cremator against the ropes,
sending the big man over the top rope to the floor. The quick elimination gave Lard the chance
to get a few moments rest before his next opponent, The Cult Master, was buzzed in. The Lard
stood back as Cult Master cautiously stepped between the ropes. The two quickly went head
to head, exchanging Lard forearms for Cult Master European uppercuts. The Cult Master used
the quickness of his strikes to back the Lard into a corner where he went for a running
clothesline, but the Lard stepped out of the way, sending Cult Master hard into the buckle. As
Cult Master staggered backwards, he was met with an avalanche from his gargantuan opponent
that crushed him against the corner pad. The buzzer sounded and the next man was called out.
The crowd jumped to it's feet in a rousing ovation as Captain Patrick O'Conner came down to
the ring. After asking the Lard to back off, O'Conner tore into his longtime rival Cult Master,
taking him down with a basic judo throw and deliving a running kneedrop to the temple while the
Lard looked on. O'Conner pulled Cult Master back up, but the leader of The Cult raked his
opponent's eyes and caught him with a couple of solid punches before a big forearm from the
Masked Lard put him back down. The buzzer sounded and Whiplash came running down the
aisle to get involved in the match. The former tag team champion went right after the Lard,
hitting him with a barrage of kicks trying to cut the big man down while, on the other side of the
ring, O'Conner and Cult Master were brawling in the corner. Cult Master charged O'Conner
with a clothesline, but the Captain ducked and caught Cult Master with a clothesline of his own
that put the leader of The Cult over the top to the floor. On the other side of the ring, Whiplash
had succeeded in getting the Lard off his feet and was on the second rope. 'Lash came off the
ropes with a flying bodypress that was caught by the Lard. As the buzzer sounded and Christian
Antimarius came running down to the ring, the Lard dropped Whiplash over the top to the floor.
Antimarius was slow making his way out, obviously feeling the effects of the extreme title match
that had taken place earlier in the evening. As Antimarius slid under the bottom rope, the Lard
and O'Conner went right to work on him, stomping away on Antimarius before standing him up
in the corner where O'Conner mounted the ropes and peppered him with punches to the
forehead, but once O'Conner got down, the Lard crushed both him and Antimarius with a
massive avalanche against the buckle! O'Conner fell to the mat and Antimarius slumped back
against the buckle as the buzzer sounded to introduce the villanous Bootlegger. A Masked Lard
clothesline put Antimarius over the top rope just as Bootlegger stepped between the ropes.
Before he could even get going, both Lard and O'Conner were working over Bootlegger,
pounding him with forearms and elbowsmashes. The competitors in the ring didn't even seem to
notice when the buzzer sounded and Beholder came down to the ring. With Bootlegger down,
the Lard and O'Conner turned their attentions to the new entrant just long enough to put
Beholder over the top rope before going back after Bootlegger. O'Conner Irish whipped
Bootlegger into the buckle and then whipped the Lard in after him, crushing Bootlegger against
the corner. The two men then teamed up to dump Bootlegger's frame, much to the delight of the
fans, over the top rope to the floor. As Bootlegger was making his way towards the dressing
room, the buzzer sounded and Death came out, laughing at Bootlegger as he headed towards
the ring. Instead of entering through the ropes, Death went immediately to the top rope, catching
O'Conner in the back of the head with a missile dropckick before attacking the Lard. Death
looked to be wearing the fatigued big man down as the buzzer sounded and another man, this
time Harbinger, came to the ring. Harbinger rolled in quickly and, as if following direct orders
from The Cult Master, attacked O'Conner. While the two men were battling, the Lard was
taking over on Death. The big man whipped Death into the ropes, but Death grabbed the top
rope to stop the momentum. While the rope was being held down, Harbinger nailed O'Conner
with a clothesline that put the Captain over the lowered strand to the floor. The Lard and
Harbinger then paired off as the next entrant, Mr. Beumont, came down the aisle with Welfare
William. Beumont entered the ring slowly and reached over the top rope to William for a last-
minute gulp of beer before starting to fight. While Beumont was off balance, Death came up on
him from behind and kicked him in the backside, sending him over the top to the floor. Death
then joined Harbinger in double teaming the Lard. The final entrant, Pot Head, came running
down the aisle and the final four men did battle for the spot in the Survivor's Cup final.
Harbinger jumped on Pot Head, biting the follower of No Remorse above the eye while
scratching at him to get him down. After crushing Death in the corner, the Lard attacked
Harbinger, pulling him off of Pot Head only to turn around and dump Pot over the top rope.
While the final three men were going down the final stretch, Aries made his way down to
ringside. The two referees on hand tried to block his path, but the "Beast from Greece" pushed
past them, climbed in the ring, and went after Death. He grabbed the winded man, kicked him
in the gut, and nailed the Godly Drop, sending Death over the top rope to the floor. On the
other side of the ring, The Masked Lard nailed Harbinger with a clothesline that sent him over
the top rope, making the Lard the second man to qualify for the Survivor's Cup final.
Wood: The Masked Lard wins the rumble, but you have to wonder if he
would have done so without the help of Aries. Death was certainly one of the top men in that
match, and he was taken care of as a result of outside interference.
Brewer: Sure, it was Aries that put Death out of the match, but let's be honest here, Wood. Just
who exactly did you think was going to put that fat slob over the top? I mean, I've heard of
backhoes that couldn't lift that guy. I find it hard to think that any man or any combination of
men would be able to do it.
Wood: So tonight here in Seattle we have sent two men on to the Four Corners of Death Match
in St. Louis on Tuesday night. The Regulator and The Masked Lard will be two of the four men
to compete for the prestigious golden cup and the right to challenge the MMP world champion,
whomever that may be, on the June 12 edition of Saturday Night Slams. But before we get to
all that, we still have two matches to go here tonight, and both will pit members of The Syndicate
against one another. In the first match, The Bootlegger puts the universal championship on the
line against Virus Richards. Let's go to the ring.
MMP Universal Championship Match
THE BOOTLEGGER
(C) vs. VIRUS RICHARDS
The Bootlegger and The Bootleggerettes were waiting in the ring when Virus
Richards' music began to play. The music suddenly stopped and was replaced by Motley
Crue's "Shout at the Devil '97". Virus came to the ring dressed as Masochrist, his two black
security men as Super Cupid and Ouija Lullabye, and Michael as Pablo. Virus had dirt all over
his professionally-made Masochrist mask and was wearing a t-shirt that read "Another Victim"
on the front and "Of the Syndicate Express" on the back. There were also tire marks painted up
and down both sides of the shirt. Virus limped into the ring, but before he locked up,
Michael/Pablo shouted at him to "give him some of what you gave The Regulator!!!".
Virus/Masochrist gave him a thumbs up and charged at Bootlegger, only to fall flat on his back
and let Bootlegger cover him with one foot for the 1...2...3.
Wood: What a farce!! I can't belive that The Bootlegger is going to be
allowed to get through tonight after only facing a challenge like that. I guess he had an advantage
over the other champions going into this event in that he was going to get to face one of his
stable mates on the first day, but I think most of us at least expected Virus to put up a fight.
Let's hope tonight's main event provides a little more in terms of competition. The world title is
on the line next.
MMP World Championship Match
THE REGULATOR (C) vs.
"CORRUPT" JOHN KORSO
The ring announcer introduced John Korso and Korso came out by himself.
He then stood on the ramp and MMP world champion The Regulator came out and stood
beside him. Korso and Regulator glared at each other but they were soon joined by the other
members of the Syndicate. The whole gang began to smile wildly as they walked down to the
ring. The world champion has a mic in his hand.
Regulator: We as the Syndicate hold the MMP World Title in our
grasp,....
{Looks at Korso, then at the World Belt over his shoulder}
Regulator: BUT... now we must fight each other to determine which one of us is going to hold
the actual title. Johnathan...
{The Regulator walks up to Korso}
Regulator: It is your job to defend the World Title for the good of the Syndicate, just as it is our
job to win the Extreme Title, and Worth's job the win the Television Title,...
{Regulator looks at Gene and Virus, a wicked smile comes across his babyface as he hands
Korso the MMP World Title. KORSO and ONYX shake hands and KORSO grabs the
microphone...)
KORSO: ...and defend it I will. MASOCHRIST and his CONGREGATION have been
decimated and now it's YOUR turn O'CONNOR. Tomorrow night, you can bet your ass that
KORSO will be defending this belt like his life depended on it... prepare to be
CORRUPTED!
The referee raised Korso's hand as the new world champion as the screen
fades to black.
