the dawning of a new day
our plane had arrived hours earlier. we lay stretched out in a hammock across our front yard in the shadow of the big camelma tree as it was called.the sunlight playing through the leaves played a pleasnt shadow on my bare arms and legs, the cool breeze which came in over the bay rocked us gently as we relaxed finaly in the late afternoon. We had arrived a bit past two. the airport was crowded with all kinds of people ,some i remembered from past lives, past loves,We reached the docks by taxi ,nothing like the noisy yellow nuisances i had gotten used to in the states.Still the wild look of a maniac but not as threatening. From the docks money was exchanged for three tickets and three large floor spaces for our dogs, still in their cages.

When the ferry docked in Sandy Point bay i was completely over whelmed by the beauty of the island. There was nothing there but a lone piere onto which our bags were dragged and our dog cages thrust none too gently onto.We stood wind whipping across our bodies as the ferry pulled away and headed across the bay to Parrot Key.
It was a long and hot journey from the north bay to our house. The main road was sandy and several times i stumbled ankle deep into one of the numerous crab holes along the way.The cages were too heavy to dragg along so the dogs were let loose to runn and the cages letf behind. The house itsself was beautiful.A large white walled castle in a deep green forest of opertunity and adventure. The house had belonged to the birth parents of the body i took as my own and willed to who ever took in the misfit of an heir.My parents loved it as did i .Wandering the endless stone halways i admired the wood work and stonery of my new house .From the main entrance a nearly bare space stretchesd open and brilliantly lghted by a window in the roof.To the right the large living room decked in burgandy with deleciously filtered light coloring the wals pink throught the rich cxutrains delighted me.On a diagnol was an arch way carved into the stonr walls that lead to the kitchen which was built directly wall/.Above the kitcen sink  was a long window which stretched the entire expance of the wall. The view of the orchard was devine the scent of surgar apple and sapodilla floated into the house .On the other side of the large room was the dining area our grand table set and ready to serve was quite exquisite to my young eyes.past the table a bit was a door to the back room which served as a laundry with a door that led to the vegtable garden.
On the left of the front door and across the room were three shallow stone stepss which led up to the bedrooms .The first door was to be my play room but would soon serve as a second guest room.Across fromthis room was the well furnished gueat room with its own half bath .Contining down the hall my bedroom was up six steps and to the right while my parents were on the left of the halway up six steps and to the left..From my window i could see the tank and beyond to the orchard where i would soon spend most of my private toime.
