A turn for the better.

That day made a dramatic turn for the better .After a long ride in the Campbells car we finaly reached the place where Iwould call home until I was truely cleared as their child. They lived in a large two door with sprawlinglawns a hammock a pond a community pool two large black labradors and a jack russle terrior.
I was blown away by the welcome home party my new parents threw for me .I was introduced to all the neighborhood children who accepted me immediately as their own. In less than half an hour i was riding my new bike with my new friends my dogs running freely behind as we circled the gated pool. The park was lovely the cement courts were brightly lit by spot lights. and we rode around the backet ball goals playing follow the leader.
I ate cake until i almost burst.ran until i dropped. And laughed until my sides ached.
11:15 .I lay in my bed smilling to excited to sleep to exausted to do more than savor the memory of the first day
of my youth
Several times during the night someone came in and stood in the doorway watching me sleep. After the third time ,i crept into their roomand crawled into bed between them .I felt sorry for Joycelyne her first child had died of complications with in her and she was incapable of having children.
Sunday morning brought with it the smell of bacon eggs and hotcakes.my mouth watered at the scent .I woke up with a smile on myface.Benjamin and i lay curled togeher beneath the thick blankets. He smilled when i stretched and yawned.
"Ready for breakfast " he asked awkwardly strugling to free himself rom the tangle of blankets and sheets. i nodded and followed him downstairs to the breakfast room. The bacon smelt devine.Joyclyne turned and flashed us a bright smile as we walked into the room.
"you guys have a seat iam almost done." she grinned at me as she sat a bowl of fruit on the small circular table.I popped a grape into my mouth looked out the large screen wall..The dogs sat on the outside porch tails thumping against the wooden floors. The jack russle "turnpike"ran in circles in front of the sliding door.
"they want to play "banjamin laughed snatching up a large chew rope from the floor. The labradors went wild jumping against the screen large paws extended.Benjamin slipped outside and flung the rope far across the lawn. The dogs tore after it and caught it before it touched the ground.Turnpike looked after them obviously that wasnt his toy.I following Benjamins lead i picked upseveral chew toys from a corner and slipped onto the porch.Turnpike lept up at me anapping at a large plastic hot dog almost bigger that he .I held it tauntingly over his head and laughed as he laept and danced on his hind legs trying to reach it.Across the lawn the labs and ben were tossling in the grass.I threw the toy and Turnpike dashed after it his tongue lolling out of his mouth.
Ten mins later Joyce..Mom called us in for breakfast but first made us wash our hands and faces.
