Weather Change
My couch is soft
Just enough to hide in
huddle in the blankets
hide from it all
when the world is scary
when the world is bleak
when the weather's worse
than anyone can take
without a raincoat
and a hat
Lost in endless cups
of tea and movies
the blankets keep me warm and dry
an extra pillowcase
for when the rain falls
warm and dry...
if only I lived in Arizona
where it's always
warm and dry
The weather clears
and I can shoot the stars
The sun comes up on days
like this the sky is blue
forever it's warm outside
I'm warm inside despite the climate
the forecast is clear and dry
for weeks to come yes
warm and sunny as far as I can see
