Hello, I am the mother of five children four of whom
are dyslexic and my husband is dyslexic as well. I as a
parent have experienced the frustrations of trying to get
my child's teacher to understand the needs of a dyslexic
child. At one time I was completely unaware of the lack of
education teachers have in this area. Now, After ten
years I have decided it is time to educate the educators.
With the help of my family I have completed a book called No ch/ild Teacher Left Behind. My children and
husband contribute with chapters written by each of
them to help explain to both teachers and parents the
frustrations and positives of being dyslexic. We have
given out the book at my children's school to see the
reaction. Each teacher that has read it has come to me
with many questions on how to change their classrooms.
Each has told me that they just didn't know or
understand before. I am hoping through this book to
educate many parents and teachers to help give our
children a chance to excel in school. I am providing a
copy of my book by ebook so that as a parent, you can
decide if this tool will help you teach your child's
teacher. I have the printed books for sale with binding
for $10.00 each. Please give only the printed bound
books to the schools. I hope to someday have this book
in the hands of every teacher so that maybe we
can put an end to the uneducation of teachers regarding dyslexia. Our next project is to address the question of
how to make classrooms multisensory in every subject
as this seems to be the question raised after teachers
