MY INTERACTIVE* CHRISTMAS LIST

This is my Ecksmus list. I don't expect everything on it; in fact, I don't expect anything on it --but that's not stopping me from making it. Items are listed in order of their want factor, that is, the ones I want the most are closer to the top. Sub lists are to indicate items that I would want as an optional addition to the main item and they would serve me no purpose if I didn't have the main item. They are also listed in order of their want factor. Okay have fun with my "interactive" list. All links open in a new window.

1. PowerBook G4

I know you said this is out of the question, but I still want it. So in a more practical ecksmus list the bass would be #1. Ideally I would actually want the PowerMac G5 (not a laptop) because it is infinitely better but that shouldn't even be asked for, jajaja. Plus it isn't portable. The following are programs I'd want as an optional addition to the PowerBook. Disregard them if you're not getting me the laptop (which you aren't, so just disregard them)

1a. Logic Express 7
This is a condensed version of Logic Pro, an industry-leading application for music creation and audio production.
1b. Final Cut Express
The condensed version of Final Cut Pro, an industry-leading application for digital video and high-definition video production.

2. Fender® Standard Jazz Bass

Once again, the following would serve no purpose to me unless I had a bass.

1a. Fender® Rumble 100 Bass Combo

1b. M-Audio FireWire Audiophile Digital Audio Interface

This is a firewire port to plug the bass into the computer. George says that I don't really need this though. To get his music on the computer he just uses some program he downloaded off limewire (a p2p network)and an 8-track. I still have to ask him about it. Though I think if I did it that way I wouldn't be able to record tracks simultaneaously in GarageBand, I think I'd have to import the track as an mp3. The M-Audio Firewire Interface allows me to record with a real instrument in the GarageBand software (or the Logic Express software).

3. Keystation 61es

Or the smaller 49es model. The Keystation 49es is the same one I used for the media arts class. I like almost everything about it. In fact, the only improvement on it would be for it to be bigger. The 61es model is bigger, and therefore better. jejeje

4. An iTunes or amazon.com gift certificate
Here's the deal. iTunes has a lot of music for far cheaper than amazon.com could ever sell it. However, amazon.com also has books and DVDs, and carry the music of a few artists I can't get on iTunes yet. Another thing to think about is that all of the money on it will be spent. Amazon.com gift certificates expire after 2 years and it is impossible to spend every last cent on the certificate. iTunes certs have no expiration date and if you have an odd balance at the end you can combine several forms of payment to pay for music. So click on either link for more.

5. Stuff from cinderblock.com
Cinderblock.com carries band merchandise. There are some shirts I wanted from there, but it's just easier to order it myself because I know which ones I want. I don't know how this would work out.

*I'm not sure what I was gonna say here.
