It is important in Diablo II that you have good armor and weapons.
Without armor and weapons you will get your butt kicked, there are many different classes of weapons containing different weapons.
You can find certain websites that you can download special items e.g.Death Jesters is one of the many sites where you can download items for your character on Diablo II.
These downloads are called hacks, it's ok to download hacks for personal use for your characters, but it's not if you're downloading them for use for online characters.
