"Imagine it differently"
"Imagine it differently" is the name of manifestation that took place from 8th till 11th of march this year (2001) in SKC (Belgrade). It was organized by AWIN (Asociation for Women's Initiatives). Beside the usual "Women's bazar" that was present all of those four days, the rest of program consisted mostly of  book promotions, theatre and musical preformances. Lectures and workshops were alsow held. This event draw attention of many women form former and present state of Yugoslavia. It was a gettering of women stranght and mind.
No difference
On the 9th of march in Labris chambers was organized little presentation of photos made by young photographer, Fabian Evi, from Budimpest (Hungaria). Photos were made in black and white stile. With them she clearly stated that being gay is stile of life, and not some promusculate phenomenon. We do not differ from people that are sexualy orientated as hetero > was here saying.
Personaly, those photos made deep impresion on my comprehansion on life of homosexuals and their (our) struggle for equality.

Hungarian Labris
The presentation of photos named above was accompanied by the introduction of organization for promotion of lesbian rights from Hungaria. Introduction was made by the girl, who I think is the main corrdinator and founder of that group. From her I found out that Hungarian movemant is more radical in it's actions from our's, even thought they still do not have their own space. For example, they are organizeing gay march in Budampest every year. In the begining it was difficult. Not many people would come. Past few years, there were "only" 200 people marching. But, last year that number incrised to about 1000.
The organization alsow made project for introduceing homosexual life stile to hight school youth. They send supplication to very big number of schools. Only 8 of them answerd on it. But haveing in mind tempo of progres, their effort is haveing results.
New place
There is a new place in town. First official gay club is opened in Belgrade (X do not count as official). Opening was on 9th of march. It is not gleamerous, not big, but it should be one place where gay community can enyoy liberty. The status of the club is known. What still isn't is the working time of club and the answer on a questio will it be closed tipe club (restricted only for gay people), or open to anyone. I can only say that it is one place where people can be what they are.

Update:

So as I heard and chacked my self after it, this "new" place is no longer working. The question is why? Why every new born gay club menage to exist only for a few mounths?
