DARKNESS SHADE
Under the cover of a darkness shade A man is slipping through the glade to correct a problem that he made his only solution a metal blade knowing its better to burn out than to fade away into a world of violence A woman cries; a child screams As a masked figure haunts their dreams Reality, is not as it seems On movies and TV scenes Where images of heros gleem away into the voices of silence He bursts his way on through the door throwing things around to explore never having enough, always needing more to ease his pain, and heal his sore aching brain, longing to live nevermore away from moments of triumph and defiance Flashbacks occur, images of dealing drugs And long lost friends he called thugs And hallucentations of crawling bugs Are swept like dust 'neath a rug Foreshadowing a hole soon to be dug and a pale white body to fill it The hunter searches all around The hunted has now been found His mouth is gagged, his wrists are bound His throat is slashed, his eyes are drowned An innocent pawn, buried six feet underground because he knew a secret, and told not to spill it And now, four lives have now been lost The victim who is cold as frost The dealer who's business was crossed And the family who paid the cost Forcing their future to be tossed answers are simple, just kill it -2000 MICHAEL RYAN FAILOR
