I woke up to my last day in England, it was a warm and rainy day. Ian had taken the day off work so he took Jen and I to Cheltenham to buy some more things. I made sure that I had everything ready for me to leave. I told Jenny that I didn't want to go home because I was having such a great time. She said that it was up to me to stay in the country or go home and that she wasn't going to stop me. I think that she was sad that I was going and not staying, but she was also relieved to have me going home. In the late afternoon we put my bags in the car and went to pick Shayne up in Swindon from work and made our way to the Heathrow Airport. We were all very quiet on the way there. I was reflecting on my holiday and wishing that it was not about to end and thinking of maybe not getting onto that plane. At that stage however I had very little money left and it wasn't going to get me anywhere. We got to the airport and I said bye to all of them. I didn't want to, but I had to. I left them with a wave and a sad smile. I got into the airport to start my long journey home. When I landed back in Cape Town I had 11 pence on me, which is equivalent of R1, 10 or in US dollars it is 14 cents and no dollars. I had spent over L550, in US Dollars from South Africa Rands that is about US Dollars 733. It was the best holiday I have ever had!!!!!!!!!!!! It was great to see my family again when I got here, but think that I should have stayed for a lot longer. I am now saving to go back to England to go, see and conquer like I have never done before!!! No More!!!! Go back to contents page Go back to home page |
