Horizontal:
1) a form of traditional narrative poetry.

assimilates sounds in normally different spelling or pronunciation.
10) word or phrase that characterizes
a person, place or thing, especially when used instead of the name
or in addition to it.
Vertical:
the unravelling of the plot of a work of fiction.
