VISION

The Medical Mission Group (MMG) - Philippines Federation is committed to the upliftment of the health and well-being of the Filipino people:

By institutionalizing a cooperative health system;
By strengtheningcommunity involvement through the recognition of health as a basic human right; and
By promoting the MMG as a cooperative health care model worldwide.
 
 

MISSION

1.To make available to its target clients a health care delivery system that is truly acceptable, accessible, affordable and sustainable through the MMG health care program.

2.To establish a network of appropriate systems, methods and technology to improve the health care delivery capabilities of its member-chapters, especially the more remote cooperative health care units.

3.To promote the highest ethical standards of health care entrepreneurship among its member-chapters in the conduct of their business concerns.

4.To motivate all health workers to work together towards their socio-economic and spiritual upliftment.

5.To continuously provide education to the local MMG chapters for their organizational and clinical rowth and entrepreneurial activities.

6.To promote an external communications network through the development of an MMG-Media Office.

7.To operate an effective Information Technology section in all local MMG chapters.

8.To ensure that all our people shall have benefitted from our collective effort and that no one shall have been unserved.
 
 

GOALS

1.To develop community health programs responsive to the needs of the local chapters in conformity with the MMG mission

2.To strengthen the enforcement of MMG-Philippines Federation policies, standards and regulations for:
                a.MMG health facilities
                b.MMG health care system
                c.MMG-Medicine
                d.Other related projects

3.To provide the appropriate technical, logistic, financial and infrastructure support to enable the local chapters to meet their health-related minimum basic requirements

4.To develop an information system to meet internal and external education and communication needs

5.To forge partnerships with local, national and international cooperatives and health organizations

6.To establish a comprehensive human resource development program
 

The Medical Mission Group - Philippines begun as a dream of a group of young physicians of providing quality health care services to the poor, the sector usually devoid of decent and proper health care.

To make the dream a reality, the Medical Mission Group Hospitals and Health Services Cooperative of the Philippines was established in 1982.

Ten years later, MMG Philippines broke new ground when it opened the first cooperatively-owned hospital in the Philippines. Since then, MMG has spread all over the country serving urban centers as well as the countryside.

With more than 50 chapters to deliver Cooperative Health Care through its Cooperators’ Health Program, MMG now operates with over 2,000 cooperative member-physicians in basic fields of specialty.*
