You don't have a soul. You are a soul.
You have a body.

Here is everything I'm thinking about today, in no particular order or coherency. (When I think, it's not grammatically correct.)

  • How long will it take Claire to figure out that if she's quiet enough she can get up out of her new toddler bed and prowl around her room and I won't know?
  • I deleted shortcuts to a few blogs off my desktop today (not yours, don't worry), because they were bugging me, and I realized the best way to make them not bug me was simply not to read them anymore. (I'm kind of slow sometimes.) I very much like this community of sharing lives, sharing ideas, sharing creativity, leaving comments for each other. However, as soon as "all hail to me" or "I'm a glorious princess -- worship me" starts to be a theme, I get disgusted. I don't want anything to do with that. Does it feed something bad in people, when they're fawned over? I think so. I think being idolized is bad for the people receiving it and for the people doing it. Makes me sad.
  • We've been babysitting my mother-in-law's Corgi, Winston, for a few weeks. He's going back home this weekend. He used to be our dog, along with our Hyacinth, but after Claire was born I was unhappy with two dogs, because they were so hyper together. My mother-in-law, who loves Winston, graciously took him. (Hyacinth is very calm when Winnie is not around to egg her on.) It has been temporarily hyper again, and each day I Swiffer up enough dog hair to make two or three completely new dogs. So I won't miss him when he goes home, but he is sweet and funny, and they can be so hilarious when they're running around like crazy on their short little Corgi legs.
  • How long until they make new episodes of the American version of The Office? :)
  • Buy skim milk, oatmeal, cereal, eggs, and flavored coffee goo.
