• To continue progress towards my ultimate ambition of becoming a software developer.
• An entry level position in testing or as a junior developer would ideally suit me although I am open to any possibilities that may arise.

April 2001 - date
I returned to college and have been studying the following subjects:
c (21 units), c++ (9 units), Perl (5 units), Java (4 units), bourne/c/korn shell programming (10 units). Also I have been taking classes in networking techjnologies and will be persuing a certificate in network programming.

Honors Bachelors Degree in Mechanical Engineering
Sept 1991 - May 1994
Masters Degree in Engineering Science (Research). Research was in the area of computer modeling of interaction of all-terrain vehicles with soft soils in the forestry industry.

Sept 1997 - Nov 2000

• Process engineer in Wafer Fab diffusion area.
• Developed new process for POCl3 doped emitters and successfully implemented it, leading to a threefold improvement in NPN bipolar gain uniformity within wafer. Resulted in improved yields, reduction of in-line wafer rejects and an improvement in the overall reliability of the process.
• Responsible for sustaining and development of LPCVD processes. Included a streamlining of production recipes and processes which led to an increase in uptime for the systems an a significant improvement in process repeatability.
• Heavily involved in transition from 4" to 6" wafers. Qualifying new process equipment, creating recipes to replicate old 4" processes on new equipment, new processes for equipment new to Micrel and introducing new equipment including furnaces, quartzware and wafer handling equipment.
• Responsible for sustaining and development of PECVD processes on Novellus concept 1 and concept 2 machines. Attended maintenance/engineering training classes for these machines.

Sept 1995 - Sept 1997

• Process Engineer responsible for silicon crystal growing, post-processing and crystal evaluation areas.
• Material control interfacing and mmaterial inventory monitoring and supervision.
• Promoted to supervise two engineering technicians in my area.
• Developed inventory control and monitoring database application in MS Access. System included data capture for important process engineering information and some departmental information for basic personnel records.

Sept 1992 - Sept 1993

• Lecturer and Examiner Mechanical Eng (Part-time)
• Part-time lecturer in Solid Mechanics and Structures for 3rd year engineering students. Set and corrected their end of year exam and also supervised their laboratory work
