On his best and full capabilities, this album showcases all Jason Becker's unbelievable skills. Comments: The fastest record of ever. The guitars played on this recording are something not conceived for human beings. Try this out if you don't believe. Jason Becker is not only one more kickin' ass guitar player, he is a genius.
Besides those ones mentioned, there are many musicians envolved on this recording.
Jason Becker writes about this album:
"I have had ALS since I was almost 20 years old. I'm going on 26 now. I was a guitarist until this disease swiped that little skill (for the time being, anyway). I wrote songs and recorded four albums. But as my guitar playing dwindled, something else in my music got better. Something indefinable. Every song on this album was done during this time. They are like little kids. My mother calls them her grandsongs."
"It has crippled my body and speech, but not my mind..."
- ALS or Amyotrophic Lateral Sclerosis
A collection of demos, songs and ideas on guitar.
Jason says: "These songs were all recorded so I wouldn't forget them as possible songs for some CD. I never planned on releasing these versions, but as I listened to this stuff, I thought, "hey, it isn't right to hide this neat music." So here you go. I hope you get as big of a rush listening to it as I do."
Jason Becker replaces Steve Vai on this third D.L.R. solo album.
The title track features one of his most delighful guitar solos.
