Rhonda Olney began clogging at the age of 11 by taking an adult education class through the Des Moines Schools at East High School and continued clogging with the Orange Blossom Cloggers under the direction of Joan Huss. In 1992, Rhonda broke off of the Orange Blossom Cloggers and decided to move in her own direction and focus on the competitive side of clogging and several of the younger members followed. In 1992, the Mystic Motion Cloggers were formed in under the direction and instruction of Rhonda Olney.
