Hi there!  Welcome to my page!  I'm Lucky and my mommy made me this page to tell you just how lucky I am. Daddy is in the Air Force and him and Mommy got stationed in Italy.  Mommy wanted a dog so they started looking for one.  This is where I come in.  Mommy and Daddy found me at a local animal shelter.  I was starved and very skinny.  Mommy didn't even want me, at first.  I really wanted to go home with them and when they just walked by me I knew I had to do something drastic to get their attention.  I tried to get out of the cage but just wound up getting my head stuck under the gate.  Mommy and Daddy looked but looked away once this bad guy got my head unstuck.  So, I did it again.  Mommy looked directly at me and said: "That's the dog for me".  What Mommy meant was that I was very stubborn and determined.
It was a very rough time for Mommy, Daddy and me when I first went to my new home.  I was so very hungry that I threw up everything they fed me.  Mommy was very worried about me since I couldn't keep anything that I ate down so she took me to the vet.  Turns out I had a very bad intestional infection.  Mommy had to feed me small meals of yogurt and puffed rice 6 times a day.  I still wasn't feeling very well.  One night Mommy and Daddy had to go and do laundry.  When they came home there was a pile of poop mixed with a lot of blood on the floor.  Mommy was so very worried about me that she stayed up all night with me.  I knew Mommy was worried that I would die that night since I was feeling so very bad.  Well, my stubborness got the best of me and I said to myself I WASN'T GOING TO DIE, especially since I found such a great Mommy and Daddy.  After about 2 weeks of being sick, I started to feel much better.  I started gaining weight and really started to enjoy my new home with Mommy and Daddy.  They even brought me to the United States to live with them forever and ever.  I LOVE MY MOMMY AND DADDY.
Now, I ask everyone a favor.  Take it from a dog that has been on the street and didn't have a home.  It's no fun.  Please do dogs and cats a favor and get them neutered or spayed.  I was very lucky that I found a good home but so many of my friends didn't.  Also think about when that cute puppy or kitten grows up.  Will you still want that puppy or kitten?  It's a big responsibility and if you're not up to the challange then maybe you shouldn't get that adorable kitten or puppy in the window.
Here are more pictures of me for you to enjoy.  Also, please take a look at my feline brothers and sisters pages.  I'm sure you'll enjoy those too!
Love, Lucky
