| This is our newest addition, Engine. We found him in Chris's car engine. Chris was driving around the base and he kept hearing a meowing. Of course, I thought he was nuts until later that night. We were getting ready to go to Wal-Mart and I was getting in my car. I HEARD THE MEOW! We started looking and looking and couldn't find where the meow was coming from. Chris lifted the hood of his car and we still couldn't find anything. Then all of a sudden, I see this little black thing crawling around. Low and behold, I pulled the little bougar out. We had every intention of finding a home for him since I couldn't bear calling Animal Control. I wanted to take him to our vet and get him checked out the next day before I found him a home. Got hooked that night! We think he was a feral kitten since he didn't take too well to Chris or me, at least not right away. He was a perfectly healthy 5 week old kitten. A little shy of course but soooo very cute! I think part of the reason I couldn't let go of him is because he survived all that time while Chris was actually driving the car around base. Obviously, that is how he got the name Engine. Engine is now a happy, healthy cat. He's adjusted well to us and our other animals. He's still very shy around other people and still needs to get neutered of course. I will add newer pictures as soon as I get them so check back! We look forward to seeing you here again. |
