I believe that the Bible is the inspired word of God! I mean that the authors wrote what God told them to write. Because of this I believe that what the greatest commands God gave was for us to love Him with all our might, all our soul, in spirit and in truth. Its corollary is for us to love our neighbors as much as we love ourselves. My neighbors are all people around me that my deeds affect. I'm in no way perfect but God is working on me : ).
I've realized that all the years I've spent in school taught me some knowledge, but there is always more to learn. I also realized that there are big differences between Knowledge, Understanding, and Wisdom--huge differences! I prayed and asked God for Knowledge, Understanding, and most of all, Wisdom. God has begun to answer my prayer! I realize now that God doesn't gives us those things all at once. We must grow into it through experience in life and faith in Him. I realize that the books of Proverbs and Ecclesiastes hold many answers to my questions. I believe it so much I typed verses in Proverbs that jumped out at me in three translations: New International Version, King James Version, and Good News Version. The documents is available by clicking on the link: Proverbs-NIV and Proverbs-KJV, Proverbs-Good News. I plan to do the same with the book of Ecclesiastes. I've been reading the Apocryphal/Deuterocanonical Books used in Catholic, Greek, and Russian Orthodox church Bibles, texts that did not make it into our Protestant Bible (i.e. King James) for reasons I have yet to ascertain.
Some things God has shown me include:
