MEET UP

I have just discovered the most marvelous site to meet people who share common interests. To quote Meet Up this is a "new, free service that organizes local gatherings about anything, anywhere". There are presently "265,798 people who have already signed up for Meetups on about 1100 topics". These meetings "happen at local cafes (and other places) in 561 cities". I am going to list below some of the groups which I have decided to check out. The ones below are groups I think most singles might be interested in and you can be sure that if there is not something here that interests you, you will find one at their site. There are other groups I want to check out as well, but they will be listed on my other sites according to relevance.
If, by chance, you have a topic that is not listed, you are always welcome to make suggestions and start up a new group. And, if you are a traveller, meetings on the same topic happen on the same day, at the same time in each of the listed cities. So, if you are wondering what to do with your free time, don't sit at home alone. Go to a Meet Up.

As I said, I just discovered this group and so have not had a chance to check out any of the gatherings, but I will be sure to keep you posted when I get a chance to attend a Meet Up. In the meantime, if you decide to go to one, why not share your experience with all of us.
