WIDE OPEN MOUNTAIN BIKE TOURS

About Our Business

Wide Open Mountain Bike Tours was founded for those who are serious about outdoors recreational activities. My Uncle is a avid hiker and moutain biker. I recently got into moutain biking myself and have grown to love it. My uncle's store has an assortment of moutain bikes to choose from to purchase or rent. The store also sells bike parts for the make and models we sell and rent. We also have a variety of outdoor apparel and accessories for your mountain biking needs. Our goal is to provide everyone with the opportunity for a outdoor adventure.

THE COLOR PALETTE

I chose to use the colors that were both exciting and that would add to the basic features of the website. I kept the color of each webpage simple utilizing mostly secondary color schemes with some primary colors as well.

THE TYPOGRAPHY CHOICES

I decided to use Arial and Georgia fonts. It made the wording easier to read. I decided to place the lettering for the links in bold type. I found using a font-size of 20 pixels made the text more readable.

MY PLANS FOR THE FUTURE

As my web design skills improve, I hope to add a more complex layout. I wish to add more images of mountain bikes with brief discriptions and a payment arrangement for a rental or purchase. I want to also add more images and specification for bike part, as well as images of the latest outdoor apparel and accesories. I will also add a multitude of links to various mountain bike sites, with trail images and maps, and associated clubs around the country. I will also add detailed information for proper safety while mountain biking.
