My Favorite Toy!

My favorite toy is the ball!!!  I LOVE my ball!  I have even been known to fall asleep with it in my mouth.  I take it everywhere and demand to play with it all the time.  My favorite places to play with it are in the kitchen when Mom is busy...I drop it at her feet, it thumps a few times then she kicks it and I go chasing it.  I love to chase it.  I also bring it into the bathroom whenever she goes in there.  I also demand that she kick it for me when she is at the computer.  She's just sitting there!  Outside is good, too.  She throws it a loooong way along the ground and I chase it full speed, like it is a RAT on the run.  I could do this all day.  I do it over and over and over and over.

When she just ignores me, I drop it, pick it up, drop it, pick it up, whine, whine some more, drop it, pick it up and drop it and whine some more and look up at her with such pleading in my eyes that she can't stand it.  When that doesn't work, I just go find some other way to play with it.  I like to stuff it under things.  The sofa, where I can go crawl under and get it.  The chair, where I can't reach it.  The gun cabinet, where I can't reach it.  The shoe basket, where I can't reach it...well, maybe, if I bite the basket, and tip it over, it might come out.  Shoes are great!!!  I stick it in there, it gets lodged in the toe and I stick my head in there and flip it over my head, and when it bounces on the floor, sometimes the ball will come out.  Then I do it again.

Kick it, Mom!  Kick it!

I am so fast that Mom can't get a picture of me AND the ball.

It's under here!  Under the gun cabinet!  I can't reach it!

Will you get it for me, Mom?

It's in the shoe basket.  See it?  I can't get it now.

It's in here!!  I know how to get it out!

 PLEEEAAASE play ball with me???

 I'll keep it nearby in case somebody wants to play.

 Just a snooze.

I love this game.  I place the ball on the edge of the couch or seat and then ever so gently nudge it with my nose until it JUST might drop off the edge...then I catch it!!!!
