SPIRIT, another littermate from the 1995 “Breeding of Excellence”, showed great promise of becoming a Grand Champion. She is a beautiful female with a wonderful temperament.
Unfortunately her first owner left her tied in his yard. When he returned, he found her gone. His frantic search came up empty. He checked at the pound, but never got his dog back.
A year later, while I was shopping with one of my dogs at a pet store, a man struck up a conversation with me. He was familiar with this breed. I told him about my dogs, and about Spirit, the one that disappeared. As the chat progressed, we realized that his dog “Kimchee” could be our “Spirit”. He invited me to come to his home to look, and sure enough, his beautiful female was our missing Spirit. Unfortunately, when he rescued her from the pound, she had to be spayed. Fortunately for Spirit, Mark and Antoinette Hume provide her with a loving home.
