GEORGIA PEACHES was my first APBT and my FOUNDATION DAM. I was fortunate to acquire this fine girl in 1993 from Shadytown Kennels. Her happy show presence soon made her the “Queen” of the show ring. In spite of my inexperience, PEACHES became a show Champion before one year of age, and a Grand Champion at thirteen months.
Because she was such a consistent winner, I obtained the very best stud dog to breed to her: The record breaking National Grand Champion Stormin Norman. They produced an outstanding litter. National Grand Champion Marauder’s Meteor, Grand Champion Marauder’s Mighty Mercury, Grand Champion Marauder’s Star Voyager, Grand Champion Marauder’s Sweetest Peach, Champion Marauder’s Liberty Belle, Marauder’s Spirit (Kimchee) and Marauder’s Darth Vader (Hank).
In 1996 we attended the PREMIER, to provide support to Meteor and his owner. At the last minute, I was persuaded to bring PEACHES, who wound up winning Terrier Group #3, and Best of Breed twice on that weekend, demonstrating that her show career was not over. She placed #5 in the Top Ten for 1996, and repeated this feat at the 1997 CENTENNIAL, when she won Terrier Group #2, and again placed in the Top Ten.
Flanked by three Top Ten Grand Champion sons Meteor, Star Voyager, and Mighty Mercury, GEORGIA PEACHES became the NATIONAL BROOD BITCH winner at the 1996 and 1997 National Shows.
We attempted to repeat the “Breeding of Excellence” in 1997. Unfortunately a case of Pyometria contracted during her second breeding, prematurely terminated her breeding and show career. GEORGIA PEACHES now lives with Bruce Jensen and Joseph Bell in Seattle.
