Term Two: Spelling words of the week will be dictated in list form and two to three sentences which may include previously taught spelling pattern words and high frequency words. Grade will include only the spelling words of the week. However, mistakes in capitalization and punctuation will be noted and corrected as well as errors on previously taught words. It is important for the children to review all spelling wrods periodically with you.
Term Three: Spelling test will be in the form of dictation sentences. Everything counts-all words, capitalization and punctuation in the sentence. A spelling grade and a mechanics grade (capitals and punctuation) will be given.
