SHRINKING VIOLET

 Shrinking Violet, a band straight out of Iselin, New Jersy will be soon on a Hole compilation c.d entitled "Open My Scars, Let out Stars" and another compilation wiht many other bands as well. This alternative/punk rock band's name 'Shrinking Violet' was first thought up of by Christine, the bands drummer. Later, they found out it meant shy, which they say is okay because it pretty much describes them. 
       Shrinking Violet's members are Sherry (vocals and guitar), Christine(drums), Joe (guitar), and PJ (bass). The music is mostly all originals, besides some covers by Hole, Lunachicks, Bikini Kill, ad Little Piggy March.  Their main influences are Hole, and the Lunachicks. 
        The parents of the members in Shrinking Violet are quite supportive and the love the fact that they are in the band. Hell, they can never wait to see the next show!
