17 Speedhead is a powerful, unique hard rock band
from Meadowlake, Saskatchewan. They formed back in
1997 with line up Maurice Brisson, Gerald Brisson,
and Dave Delair. Now a five piece band, Dave Delair is gone, and
the three other members are Chris McLean, Brian
Forest, and Justin Cooney. Maurice(drummer) being the youngest member in
17 Speedhead, is the only member to not have graduated, yet they've still
done shows outside of the province. "I'm sure we'd all agree we had the
most fun in Legal, Alberta July 1999". Another show played outside of Saskatchewan,
played in Edmonton, Alberta was Battle of the Bands at Blues on Whyte,
which was more of a side project with Greg Panich, 17 Speedhead's vocalist
Chris wasn't involved. In a review made by Chris Goldsmith on 17 Speeheads
May '98 demo, he adds words when describing the bands songs like "powerful
rhythm, catchy, unique taste, sharp edge, outstanding percussion, and great
music". As well, he adds "In my opinion, a group that can change styles
from song to song and still maintain the quality sound has the
potential to succeed in the music indusrty".So
whats in store for 17 Speedhead? A possible 12 song album but Maurice says
"nothing is in stone yet". To find out more information on
