| The Rainbow |
| I Had been there off and on all morning, taking pics of the flowers, and room. Praying for the strength to see us all through this day. When I came back in the afternoon to meet everyone there, Dr. Shantell was there already. We spoke for a while... She is such a WONDERFUL woman. A true pleasure to meet. We just talked, and looked at such a tiny casket, wondering how something so tragic could have happened. I Left the room to take a call, and when I came back, I overheard the Dr. talking to the director, and couldn't help but hear her mention the rainbow. It took me a moment to realise what they were talking about, then I saw it! We all agreed, it had not been there before... But behind lovely Alisha's tiny casket, was a vivid rainbow on the wall. I was reminded of God's Promise. "I do set down My Bow in the cloud, and it shall be for a token of a convenant between Me and Earth" Genesis 9:14 How Brilliant and a thing of wonder a rainbow is! According to Sir Isaac Newton who is regarded as one of the greatest geniuses the world has known, like the spectrum whose sourse is white light, the rainbow is also gives off these seven shades of color. Since the scriptures often refer to God as "Light", perhaps the colors of the rainbow stem from the pure and radiant white light of our Creator! When we consider the many colors of the spectrum from a Scriptual perspective, it appears that even in the simple design of the rainbow, each shade may hold deeper meaning. Blue portrays heaven and infinity Red or scarlet depicts blood and redemption Orange is for the fruit of atonment. Indigo was the dark blue dye obtained from the plant; the coloring of skins used for the Tabernacle covering. Green stands for new life or resurrection Yellow or Gold depicts perfection and deity. Violet or purple is the color of royalty and kingship. The next time you see a rainbow, consider the silent yet profound message this symbol speaks, not just to mankind, but to you, as a sole individual. The Creator sees you for exactly who you are, and it is important that all people come to the full knowledge of the Devine. God's word is written all around us, and His truth is just waiting for the soul who thirsts for righteousness. Let His awesome light shine upon you! The rainbow, is a symbol of peace and a sign of promise. God's Rainbow Rainbows appear after mighty storms When things look their very worst Just when skies are darkest grey Look for the rainbow first The rainbow is God's promise That he will guide us through all our troubles No matter what their form. When you are feel battered by life's storms And you are filled with doubt and dismay Just remember God's rainbow is coming It's only a prayer away! |
