| OTANAHA FORTRESS This fort was the shelter and defense base of the Gorontalo Kings in their struggle against the colonizers. It is located on a grass knoll at Dembe Village on the western side town. This historical landmark offers a nice vista of Lake Limboto and the surrounding rice fields. According to history, this fort was built with a mixture of sand, calcium and eggs of the Maleo bird. |
