Part 2
The program got underway around 6:30 with a game of trivia... Doug's table rocked as they earned 5 points in comparison to Carla's table with 3 points and everyone else with 2 or 1, though the table in the back (no names mentioned) failed to get even one question right! It was quite exciting and Melissa had a tough time keeping them all in-line! Before dinner, John L talked a little bit about the financial situation of MLS and the needs we can meet as alumni.
Dinner was great! A nice buffet with a little something to make everybody full and happy.
After dinner, we viewed a movie that some people would have rather forgotten about forever... the video of the Senior boys' powder puff pom-pon routine! The room was full of laughter, especially at the part where Jeremy D joined the kick-line!
We then took a few minutes to "Get Reacquainted" as we figured out who met criteria like: Lives in Wisconsin, traveled abroad during college, works in finance or banking, or has more than 2 kids. One item on the list was a person who remembers all the words to the fight song... Jose didn't even know we had a fight song... but Doug remembered all the words and led the whole room in singing it. What a choir!
The reunion program finished with another video from our past, this one was the picture video shown at Senior year's banquet. More funny and embarrassing pictures were re-discovered, along with some cute ones that brought on the "awww"s.
And then the night finished off with mostly everyone moving into the bar... more than one person commented that last time we were all together this would have been SO illegal and gotten us kicked right out of MLS... Good thing we're 10 years older and so much more mature!
In all, it was a great evening.... It was wonderful to see so many old friends again!
