The
Multicultural Law Student Alliance is an organization committed to:
- Promoting diversity in the legal profession.
- Promoting acceptance of all people, racial harmony, and cultural awareness.
- Working with the minority communities to enhance awareness of the needs and heighten sensitivity to the needs of the communities.
- Serving the minority communities.
- Instilling in the members of the organization the desire to become law students with sound ethics and values.
- Fostering strong bonds with the law students and attorneys in the minority communities.
- Advancing the ideals of equal justice under the law.
- Stimulating academic excellence and to instill virtues of compassion and professional competence.
In this inaugural year, MLSA
is committed in helping to foster multicultural and multiethnic students to
express their unique interests and concerns, to increase campus awareness of
the issues facing these students, and to celebrate the role of multicultural and
multiethnic individuals within an increasingly multicultural world. We also
seek to provide a necessary space for students of diverse traditions. We are
committed to the value of diversity – in our membership, in our views, and in
our efforts.
