A Little About Us
Butterscotch and Cotton Candy

Just in case anyone is interested in the people behind the site:

Our site first began on August 2, 1996.  Even though it ended up neglected for a few years as life got very complicated – we’re back!  A little older, a little wiser, but we still love our MLP’s and are very glad the Hasbro decided yet again to bring them back for us!

Michele is 28 is a college student earning a dual major in Physics and Astrophysics (although, she already has a B.S. in Biology, she decided to go back to school to follow her dreams of studying space).  She will graduate from the University of Minnesota – Twin Cities in May of 2007 and proceed on the grad school for her PhD. In Theoretical Astrophysics in General Relativity and Cosmology (OK, this was probably way too much info, but I’m a just a little passionate about astrophysics!)

Erin is 26 and a mother (a very full time job!).  Otherwise, she love photographer and hopes to open her own studio one day.

As is pretty obvious, Michele and Erin are sisters who live just south of St. Paul, MN, about 10 minutes from Mall of America and 15 minutes from St. Paul (just to give a better idea where we are!).  We have been collecting My Little Ponies since they came out: Flat Foot Butterscotch was Erin's first pony and Flat Foot Cotton Candy Michele's (hence, the pictures).  Sadly, both these have since become unexpected chew toys for our, long ago, very naughty puppy.  We kept collecting up until 1992.  At that time, our best guess is that we had about 250-300 ponies (we really didn't keep track then).  In 1996, Michele had surgery and was really bored one day.  So, she logged onto the internet and decided to see if she could find anything on the much loved MLP's.  Amazingly enough, she came across a couple of sites, including Magic in the Making (Baby Twilight's and Li'l Moondancer's page at the time).  Of course, she showed Erin and that's how our internet lives began.  We started trading and selling through other people until we discovered for ourselves how to make a web page.  Now, as best as we can figure (we still don't keep really good track of our multiple ponies), we have close to 1000 ponies and are still collecting!  It has gotten difficult, though, with Michele in college and Erin working and taking care of her son.  We try our best to keep stuff updated, but it is also difficult to keep an inventory when there are no flea markets in the winter time!  Goodwill and Savers are good, but don't usually produce to amounts needed to keep our page up and running.  So, if you see we haven't updated in a while, now you know why!  We really can't think of anything else right now, so happy hunting and happy collecting to all!
