Moulin Rouge - Opening Section 1
Quote: View of Montmartre: man and woman:
well dressed, then zooms to station where he arrives. "The world had
been swept up in a Bohemian revolution, and I had travelled from London to
be a part of it
. they were known as the children of the revolution."
Fresh-faced Christian, Singer with guitar has eyes open - previously had eyes
closed/blind?
Explain: Montmartre seems to be a respectable area. Zoom used to suggest
speed, excitement, fresh-faced Christian as he has yet to experience despair,
Singer seen before as ill/blind - this is the point of view of the
innocent Christian before he experienced the events he is to narrate.
