| July 3, 2003 General News We have confirmation on the Somalian work camp. My parents can't cover the airfare to Somalia, so it looks like I'm off to Lake Arrowhead come Sunday. Don't worry, for the six of you who read this column of my ranting, I'll keep updating. I've been thinking back and I realized that my father said something a few years ago. He told me, "The first girl you ever like will be just out of your reach. Don't let it stop you." At the time I thought that was something I should have been thinking at the ripe old age of eleven. Now I'm thirteen, and I still shouldn't be thinking that stuff. My dad's not gonna remember saying that. I'll bet five bucks he doesn't. On Monday I got an IM from someone who said that they knew all about me and seemed to. She got mad halfway through the conversation, saying I was stalking Kat. I replied, "If I were stalking her, I'd be in Texas." As I shot down even her best attempts at scaring me, she started to get tense. Probably because she's not capable of intelligent thought and can't get past the headline of the Los Angeles Times. If she can get past that. Remember how I ranted about companies piggishly over-exposing movies? New Line has decided to release The Two Towers in a snazzy four-disc collector's edition, like the first one. I would rant about this, but I am about to hit the end of the page. That, and I wouldn't want to sound hypocritical because I have the four-disc of Fellowship of the Ring. -Owen |
