This is the section where I talk about my likes and perhaps my dislikes. I haven't decided yet.
Music- Indie- girl rock,, preferably from England. THe Breeders, The Amps (Kim Deal's side project. She's in the Breeders, also. She rocks the casbah), Babes in Toyland (THis is what I wanted my band to sound like. They also do a really ballsy, out of tune version of All By Myself), Throwing Muses, Belly, Aretha Franklin, Hole, Feeder, Nickleback, BUSH (My very favorite), Nirvana and Pearl Jam are always classics, Creed, Tori Amos, Filter, The Misfits, Live, Perfect Circle, Tool, and that's all I can remember right now.
Books- I love Kurt Vonnegut and Richard Wright. Anything by Sylvia Plath, Allen Ginsberg, Edgar Allen Poe ( I visited his house when I was in PA), and Paul Verlaine. I'm reading Moon Palace by Paul Auster right now and it's pretty good. I like this semi-obscure magazine from London called The Idler. My mom's friend sends it to me, because I can't get it in the states. It has articles in it from Louie theroux, whom I love. He does a show called Weird Weekends and they used to play it on Bravo.
Movies- Rushmore, Lock Stock and Two Smoking Barrels, Fight Club, The Matrix, American History X, Sleepy Hollow, Ma Vie En Rose, Indochine, Better off Dead, The Abominable Dr. Phibes, Twenty Bucks, 10 things I hate about you (but only because I relate to the mean girl and I've always been a sucker for cheesy romance like that), Gross Point Blank, The Craft is a good teen angst/revenge movie, My own Private Idaho, Jackie Brown, Titan A.E., etc.
People- God. Janeane Garafalo, Samuel L Jackson ("AK47, when you absolutely, positively got to kill every motherfucker in the house. Accept no substitutes." Jackie Brown), I have respect for Courtney Love. Louie Theroux. Keanu Reeves (yes I had a "thing for him for awhile), Gavin Rossdale (I have a little "thing" for him now, but I think I like his voice the most.)
Stuff-I love Stand up comedy. I love Sketch comedy. In fact, I watch a lot of Comedy Central, but now that my mom's moving, I won't get to see it because my dad doesn't have it. My dad also blocked out MTV. I love candy. I love watching movies and tv. I love loafing. Halloween, Christmas, nightlights, and fans. I love being alone
Dislikes- I'm afraid of the dark. I hate that my dad blocked out MTV. I hate feeling depressed. I hate going to the gym. I don't like sports. I don't like southern California. I get overwhelmed in grocery stores. I don't like crowds. I don't like big groups of people my own age (17). I don't like being disappointed on my birthday.
I love London and Paris
