Travel Brochure

 

Due Date: Wednesday, Dec. 10, 2008

 

The objective of this project is to develop a tri-fold travel brochure advertising a visit to a natural attraction created by weathering, erosion, and/or mass movement.

 

The brochure must contain all of the following:

 

  1. Brochure must be typed or neatly hand-written in ink or marker
  2. Use an 8.5 X 11 inch sheet of paper (any color) folded three-ways as demonstrated in class
  3. Have a title, your name and class section
  4. Include 3 pictures of your attraction (black & white or color)
  5. Discuss all of the following:

·         How old geologically is the attraction?

·         What does the attraction look like?

·         What specific geological processes formed the attraction?

·         Are the processes that formed the monument still occurring there?

·         What activities can be done at the attraction?

·         How can you get to your attraction?  What is the closest major city?

·         Are there any similar attractions elsewhere in the world?

  1. List of websites that you can visit for more information.
  2. At least three references (specific websites or books)
