Badminton Duel
Today, with a couple of friends, I created the sport of Baminton Duel "Duel" doesn't men two (dual), it means the duel that people used to settle arguments by killing each other. They used guns or swords, while we use badminton equipment.
We stand fifteen-twenty feet apart, and then, with racket in one hand and birdie in the other, we tensely wait for the other person to move first, as seen in westerns like "The Good, the Bad, and the Ugly." When the other person moves, you are allowed to whack the birdie at the other person. If you miss, the other person is allowed to pick your missed shot up and hit it back at you. You can move around in any clearly marked boundaries settled before the duel. The duel must have a set time. At halftime refreshments MUST be had. If they are not had, someone must pay! I say Steve Bartman. To start the second half, a third birdie is placed in between the two duelers. If you like, you can hide the third birdie in the first half and wait use it like any other missed birdie. During either half, time can be called by either player. They then can agree to reduel, meaning that they go back to the center, and the opening of the match is replayed. Each hit on the oppenent scores ten points, with taunts being essential to starting the duels.
Badminton Duel is meant to be played in a twenty five day Battle Royale. Usually in a wooded area, with several clearings for duels to take place. At the dawn of each day, the loser of the previous day decides the boundaries. A second, less committed team may score the hits, and also the extra credit points for "taunts of a higher quality." The cumulative winner over the 25 day period will be considered the world champion. The Badminton Duel World Federation will commence by the end of the summer. Check in regularly for more variations.

Each battle lasts a day, and the tournament progresses a la March Madness.
