| The hill in the background of this picture is said to be the location of a battle between an the Doulin-Dalton outlaw gang and a Marshall's posse that had originated in Ingalls, OK and ended here. It is located between Stillwater and the Homestead. C. C. Platt was holding a revival a short distance from the battle and traveled to the site to see how he could help. He climbed the hill during the battle to bring down a wounded innocent onlooker. His part of the story has NOT been verified, but several of C. C.'s children passed it on to their families.
