This is a collection
of research material I have compiled for the James Skaggs and Rachel Moredock
family.
You are welcome to use any and all of the information I have. Much of it is
documented; there is some speculation on my part, but I do not put people in to just fill in a
slot.
The Skagg's family is a very confusing family to work with; I have used the
Moses Skaggs Estate Papers and Archibald Thompson's diary for documentation. Both of
these are on the internet for anyone to use.
Moses Skaggs Estate Papers are
usually five (5) sections long, so when you do a search for them, you will find them listed
separately.
I am not a descendant of James Skaggs and Rachel, but am interested in
Peter Skaggs, who I do believe is a step-descendant of mine.
If you have any information
concerning Peter Skaggs and who his parents might be, it would be greatly
appreciated.
I am a descendant of Hans Johannes Bischoff who later changed
his name to John Bishop and lived in the Montgomery/Floyd counties of southwestern
Virginia. |
