Bass Tab for Lateralus
Transcribed by Ryan Ragsdale

Dropped-D tuning, low to high: D A D G
LEGEND:
h: hammer-on
p: pull-off
/: slide up
\: slide down
During the second verse of this song, Mr. Chancellor has said that he
uses a fretless bass. In order to approximate this sound, make sure
you slide the notes as I have transcribed. Also, the opening heavy
figure is a bit tricky timing-wise, but keep at it. During the sliding part
near the end of the song, make sure you make the slides nice and
smooth. He may have used a Whammy pedal, so if you have one,
set it on one octave down setting, and start toe down, sweeping it up
and back with each time. Good luck and enjoy!
