
10/12/02 - The first showcase went well, even with all the excitement and nerves.
10/2/02 - "Mr. Policeman" is finally completed and awaits mastering. The songs sounds great, has a bit of an 80s feel to it. Come to the showcase in October to see Melissa perform this toe-tapping tune!
9/27/02 - Will be performing at the artist showcase at Cole Stages in Hollywood on November 9, 2002. Will also be performing at the Holy Family Annual Parish Fair in South Pasadena on October 12, 2002, at 11:30 AM. Ryan is done with the editing and is now mixing "Mr. Policeman" and song should be completed very soon.
8/28/02 - Went back into studio to finish recording vocals for "Mr. Policeman". Waiting for song to be mixed and edited before we move on to the next one. Mixed feedback on this song so far.
8/20/02 - Went into studio to begin work on "Mr. Policeman". Recorded first and second verses, choruses and harmonies for chorus. This song may be a hit!
7/29/02 - "Empty Arms" is done with the mixing/editing stage and is awaiting funds to be mastered.
7/15/02 - Went into studio for final vocal recordings. Finished main vocals and added background harmony. Waiting for song to be mixed and edited.
7/10/02 - Discovered that Leilani actually means "heavenly garland". Pualani means "heavenly flower".
- Went into studio to start recording first vocals for "Empty Arms". Finished first verse and chorus.
7/9/02 - Finished writing lyrics and melody for new song, "Good-Bye, Little Island Girl", for demo.
6/19/02 - First recording session. Finished rough copy of song, received good feedback from family and close friends. Wrote harmony parts for song.
6/11/02 - Met with Eddie and Ryan of ERA Productions for first time. Started work on first single, "Empty Arms". Ryan came up with background music within minutes. Very impressed with ERA and decided to do business with them.
