Winter has taken its toll on me physically. The lack of dry/warm weather has kept me indoors and so I'm feeling very out-of-shape. Hopefully we'll be getting some warmer weather soon and I can get back into the swing of things. I have official word from a bonafide doctor that I have a "fatty" liver. His recommendation - avoid alcohol and eat healthy. hmph... why didn't I think of that?
But enough of me, let's talk about my fabulous job. Most of my friends know that I'm looking for a new job. The one I've had for the past 10 years has finally taken its toll. It's not so much the job itself, but some of the people I have to work with. I interviewed with the County of Sacramento - unfortunately, I didn't make the very narrow 2 person cut... (although had it been a 4-person cut - I would be in according to the HR person). Missed it by that much.
I also interviewed with a private marketing company this week. Hopefully I'll be contacted soon for a 2nd interview. Wish me luck.
The only other exciting thing happening right now is the Motley Cruise - in May 2007. I'm organizing a cruise for a group of my family and friends. Hopefully we will have enough people attending to get the group discount. If you're interesting in going, let me know.
