| 4/23/07 | Positive Test | When I got home from work, I took a pregnancy test and it was positive. I had bought a shirt for Ally a few months before that says "I'm the Big Sister" so I had Ally put it on to tell Daddy | |
| 5/10/07 | Spotting | I called the nurse because I had some spotting for a few days straight. I went in to take a blood test, but don't get results til Monday, so I had to sit and wait. |
| 5/15/07 | 6w5d | Dr. Siegel - Even though my test results were good, I wanted to go in and see the heartbeat to get confirmation. I couldn't even wait a couple days til my first official appointment. I thought for sure I had a miscarriage because I was spotting every day for a week straight. I was trying to be positive. We were so happy when we saw the heartbeat in an ultrasound. The baby was measuring right at a due date of 1/3/08 which is what I calculated. | |
| 5/18/07 | 7w1d | We saw Dr. Weeks. This was my first official appointment. They basically just asked about my medical history and how I was feeling. Did an internal and everything is fine. I haven't been feeling too sick, but craving carbs and extremely tired. It's a lot different the second time around with a toddler to chase after. |
| 6/15/07 | 11w1d | It was a very quick appointment with Dr. Heimburger. The took my weight, blood pressure and then the doctor listened to the heartbeat. It took him a few minutes to find it, so I was a little nervous, but luckily it was beating 160 bpm. |
| 7/11/07 | 14w6d | Met with Dr. Siegel, heard the heartbeat - 164 bpm. |
| 8/10/07 | 19w1d | Met with Dr. Weeks, heartbeat - 156 bpm. He said there was nothing to worry about from the car accident. |
| 8/29/07 | 21w6d | Ultrasound - we did not find out the sex, by choice:) Everything looked well. I'm measuring almost a week early just like with Ally. We are hoping for a late December baby. | |
| 9/10/07 | 23w4d | We met with Dr. Weeks. The heartbeat was 148 bpm. Everything is fine. |
| 10/12/07 | 28w1d | Met with Dr. Bernardo. Diabetes test was normal. heartbeat 140 bpm. |
| 10/21/07 | Bedding | We picked the bedding - Alphabet Soup by Cocalo. We are working on clearing out the back room and then Craig will paint. I think we are ordering the same furniture that Ally has because we like it. | |
| 11/9/07 | 32w1d | Dr. Heimburger - heartbeat 140 bpm. Everything going well. |
| 11/21/07 | 33w6d | Dr. Heimburger - heartbeat 148 bpm. Everything fine. Next appointment start internal exams. |
| 12/7/07 | 36w1d | Dr. Siegel - Baby is breech:( Dr said we will talk next week if the baby doesn't turn about my options. Only 97% of babies are breech, so that is my luck. I wanted to avoid a c-section, but manually moving the baby in my tummy doesn't sound too thrilling. We'll see. Wish us luck. The crib is delayed in the delivery as well:( But the room looks great painted and with the border. Here is a good article. He said I was a fingertip dilated and not thinning out. He said he thought he felt the baby's foot. |
| 12/14/07 | 37w1d | Dr. Siegel - u/s to confirm baby is frank breech - butt down with feet near it's head. Heartbeat 152. 50% effaced, not dilated. Scheduled a c-section. |
| 12/17/07 | 37w4d | Dr. Heimburger - pre op appointment |
| 12/21/07 | 38w1d | Dr. Bernardo - flu-like symptoms, 1 cm dilated. |
| 12/21/07 | 38w1d | Dylan decided to come early via c-section at 11:36 pm weighing 8 lb 5 oz and 20.5 inches long. |
