Dear Friends and Family,

Its been well over a year since I wrote my last update.  So, I figured it is long over due.

We have had a very busy year since we moved here a year and 4 months ago.  Weve had a few trials, but God has really blessed us in so many ways.  Thank you to all who have continued to pray for us.  Here is a summary of some of our answers to prayers and a few new prayer requests.

Housing: I asked prayer last year for us to find good housing in a good location.  While we didnt get to move on post, the military house we moved to was in a beautiful, small tourist town called Clayton.  Its right on the St. Lawrence River and has a very good school district.  We also started attending church there at First Baptist 1000 Islands.  Our church family here is very supportive, and has helped us out a number of times.  We ended up having to move, which I will explain later, but we are still in the same school district and attend the same church.

Landon: age almost 7, first grade, starting Tiger Scouts this fall .  Last year I asked prayer for Landons schooling.  Landon is attending the local elementary and I have been very pleased with the education they are giving him.  He receives OT (occupational therapy) about 2 times a week and has made dramatic improvement in his hand writing.  He also recently started riding his bike without training wheels (which is a big deal for our uncoordinated family). Landon likes his bike, G.I. Joe, Digimon, Transformers, Legos, and anything to do with science.

Kryslin: age 4-, preschool at Ft. Drum, will be starting ballet soon.   Kryslin attended preschool in Clayton last year and loved it.  She is attending preschool this year at Ft. Drum, so I can drop the babies off at their daycare and get a short break 3 mornings a week.  Kryslin has also shown signs of needing OT. So, she will also be receiving therapy through a program paid for by the state.  Kryslin is very social and adjust easily wherever she is at.  I cant help but smile around my bubbly little girl with the Tigger like personality.  Kryslin likes dolls, ponies, painting, bugs, worms, and frogs.  An odd combination, but what else can you expect of a girl with 3 brothers.

After wanting another addition to our family for some time, God answered our prayers two fold.  We welcomed
Jackson Oliver and Josiah Robert to our family on April 6, 2006.  They are 5 months, healthy, and have very different personalities.  They still are not sleeping through the night, but at least Jackson is not having colic anymore.  People ask me how I do it, and sometimes I wonder the same thing.  My church family is amazing though.  They brought meals to us for the first month, and there is a lady that comes to my house about once a week to help with the babies and house hold chores.  She is a little bit slow, but you wouldnt know it with all she has done for me.  She will not let me pay her, and Im just so thankful God put her in my life.

Jeremy and the Army: Jeremy just left Wednesday, September 20 to go to Afghanistan.  I asked pray concerning Jeremys rank last year.  He still hasnt been promoted, should be shortly after getting to Afghanistan. While this is a scary time for us, I know that God will take care of all of us.  He has already answered my prayers more than I thought possible.  Jeremy was supposed to leave for Afghanistan back in February when his unit deployed.  Jeremy and I prayed and prayed that God would somehow move the Army to let Jeremy stay until I had the babies.  We didnt think they would, but only a few weeks before they left they approved a delay in his deployment.  After the babies were born, I expected Jeremy to leave a month later.  Jeremy however developed stomach cramps and acid reflux that were at their worst when he did physical training.  Not only were we thankful that these health problems were discovered while he was still in the states and could be treated, but we were also thankful that this delayed his deployment even further.  The doctors were never able to figure what is causing his stomach cramps, but the medicines they put him on have helped.  So, instead being without Jeremy for a whole year, he will be gone for about 6 months.

Besides the Army, Jeremy did something I was so proud of this summer.  He was baptized in the St. Lawrence River.  Jeremy has been a Christian for a number of years, but had never had a believers baptism.  Just as my faith has grown since we have been married, I have seen tremendous growth in Jeremy.  Its totally God and I am so thankful!
