Why Landon & Kryslin Make Us Laugh
Egg-ceptional!
When Kristiana discoverd she was pregnant in the fall of 2005, she told Landon and Kryslin about it as it was distressing Kryslin, in particular, to see her mommy throwing up so much (though she also spent some time immitating her, as Landon had once done when Kristiana was pregnant in the past!).  Kryslin wanted to know how babies grew in the mommy's stomach, so Kristiana gave her a vague answer about an egg in the Mommy's tummy which grows into a baby.  Kryslin took that information quite seriously.  When Kryslin later joined Kristiana in munching on crackers, Kristiana asked her why she needed crackers, and Krylsin adamantly explained, "I'm feeding my egg!"

Poppy's Fat Babies
While Poppy and Grandmommy visited us in October '05, Kryslin came up to Poppy and said, "Poppy you have babies in  your tummy."  "No I don't," said Poppy.  "Yes, because you have a fat belly; you have fat babies." stated Kryslin

Stop, In the Name of My Imagination!
Kristiana, Landon and Kryslin lived in the Kansas City area during the 2004-05 school year during the year Jeremy was in South Korea.  The quiet, dead-end street she lived on allowed for all the neighborhood children to play in the street frequently, with adults watching from their lawns.  One day a UPS truck began driving down the street where Landon and his friends were playing.  His Aunt Joia and the neighbor watching Landon both called for Landon to immediately come out of the street, which he initially did.  Then he turned with a determined expression, walked right in front of the truck's path, holding his hand out, as if to stop it.  When he was pulled from the street by the panicked adults, he was quite incensed.  "Why'd you stop me?  He demanded.  "I was stopping the truck with my powers!"  He pointed to the truck which had reached it's destination a few doors down and parked.  "See?  It worked!"

Something's Missing...

When Kryslin was born (12/19/2001) and brought home, Landon (then age 2) was very distressed the first time he observed Kryslin's diaper being changed.  "Oh No!!" he cried.  "She has no pee-pee!"

Get your priorities straight, Poppi
Several days each week, 3-year-old Landon spent time with Kristiana's parents, "Grandmommy & Poppi," while Kristiana and Jeremy were at work. Landon would get very frustrated when he arrived at "Poppi's house" to find that Poppi was at work and couldn't play with him.  When Poppi came home once day, Landon ran up to him and very emphatically informed him, "NEVER go to work again!"

A man convinced against his will is of the same opinion still.
Three-year-old Landon attended preschool at the school where Kristiana worked.  He was once put in time out for arguing with a teacher.  When the teacher got him out of time out she asked him, "Now Landon, do we argue?"  Landon replied emphatically, "YES."  The teacher sweetly tried to correct him, "No, Landon, we do NOT argue."  Landon replied, "Yes, we DO argue."  This went on for quite awhile until the exasperated teacher said, "Landon, just repeat after me: 'I do not argue.'"  Landon's reply? "You do not argue."
Kryslin is shown above at age 2-1/2 and Landon is shown below at age 5.
