PLAYOFFS- ROUND 1:
Franchise Hockey 8 Mitty 0
June 16, 2007: In its controversial first-round matchup with Mitty, Franchise Hockey barely broke a sweat in earning an 8-0 shutout with the mercy rule.  Backstopped by a perfect performance by Mikey Stanzler, the Franchise dominated from the opening faceoff and never looked back.

In its first ever home playoff game, the Franchise gave the home crowd a show.  On the first shift of the game, Kris Anderson one-timed home a perfect pass from Josh Capelle.  On the second shift, Cam Rowland took a head-man feed from Ray Cleverly and slipped home his career-high fourth goal of the season.

From there, the Franchise would not look back.  Anderson and Matt King added first period goals to give the team a 4-0 lead after the first period.  King added his twenty-first tally in the second to make the score 5-0.

In the third period, the Franchise finally nailed Mitty's coffin shut.  Capelle and Myles Rowland, and Anderson scored to eliminate Mitty.  Ironically, the Franchise began its postseason journey with a dominating win over a team that had eliminated the Franchise in the first round of the 2006 Summer League.

The team had little time to look ahead, however, because it was up against Sobrato less than an hour after defeating Mitty.
