| When I look into the sky, I see your loving face. As I gaze into the stars, I feel your warm embrace. When I try to sleep at night, And I catch an awful fright, I wish you were here with me. So I could hold you close to me. And when I start to cry, Because of the pain deep down inside. When I feel like I've seen a ghost, That's when I need you most. I know you feel the same for me, And I know that this just can never be. Because you're there and I'm here, And there's so much distance between us. Sometimes it's so hard to say, But I love you more each and every day. a poem by: Marianne K. Pritt Dedicated to D. J. S. |
