Constructing the Cold Air Intake
The Trial Fit and Finishing the CAI
Trial Fit
Before you put away the tools, it is a good idea to get a trial fit.  Once this is done, you should take everything apart and paint what you want.
1. Piece everything together under the hood.
2. The MAF to Elbow assembly can be mounted to the Pipe using one of the pipe rubber pipe couplings and two hose clamps.
3. The Pipe can be fitted with the other rubber coupling to the throttlebody, also using two pipe fittings.
4. Make sure the rubber breather hose fits and the IAT and MAF wiring harnesses will fit.
5. Once all is lined up, disassemble it and rework what you need.
6. Paint the parts you want to the desired color.
7. Once the paint is dried, you are ready to put it together for real.
Putting it All Together
1. Once the paint is dry, you can build up the CAI following the instructions from above.
2. The K&N airfilter should be put up from under the fender.
3. You can mount a piece of hanger strap to one of the MAF bolts and then to the stock bolt that held the airbox to the fender.
4. Attach all of the wiring harness: The MAF wire, the IAT wire, and the Y fitting.
5. Attach the breather line to the grommet via the stock 90degree elbow.
6. Tighten down all of the hose clamps.
7. Replace the strut tower brace if applicable.
8. Fire up your car.
Sorry for the poor quality here..
